If you are thinking of following the Andean tradition I highly recommend this retreat
Following the Shamanic Path of the Andes
This three-day retreat immerses you in the secrets of working with spiritual guides and healing energy
If you have felt the urge to deepen your spiritual practice, the shamanic path may be calling you. In this three-day retreat you will learn the essential concepts and healing practices of the paqos (shamans) who live in the Andes in Peru.
We feel fortunate to be able to share the paqos’ powerful, authentic practices. We have studied for over a decade with two highly respected maestros from the Andes. They have given us their blessing to teach their Inkan wisdom here in the United States.
You can incorporate shamanism to everything you do, and the benefits of this practice are amazing. It can bring you greater joy, insight, and empowerment in your daily life. Plus, if you want to be a healer, this approach can have powerful results. We have used this wisdom to help hundreds of clients who have suffered from physical or mental health problems, addictions, dysfunctional relationships, trauma, and intrusive energies.
Shamanism is a mystical practice that is often misunderstood. There is more to it than clearing chakras. True shamanism involves these important principles:
• connecting directly to a lineage of indigenous healers to learn their ceremonies, traditions, code words, and beliefs
• using sacred items such as a k’hipu (medicine bundle), mastana (fabric), and k’huya (sacred stone) to open dimensions and shift energy
• going into an altered state of being in order to perceive energy and open portals to the visible and invisible dimensions
• showing gratitude to develop a close relationship with helping spirits who can provide you with guidance, healing, transformation, and protection
• understanding your soul purpose and how best to follow it
• practicing the divine gifts in order to create a life filled with beauty, joy, well-being, and sacredness for yourself and your community
This weekend retreat will teach you the fundamental practices of Andean medicine so you can access your spiritual guides in a protective space. You will learn:
• how to do the ritual of Chuyanchakuy to cleanse your body and energy centers
• what items you need on your altar space and how to use them
• how to open your five main ñawi (energy centers) and how to care for the five main kurkus (dimensions) of your body
• how to connect with the benevolent, cosmic beings through your invocation, code words, and chinkay (profound silence)
• how energy can get contaminated and stuck due to trauma, unhealthy habits, and toxic relationships
• how the paqos remove heavy energies from the body and bring in healing light
• how to do a fire ceremony to open a dimension that can transform an intention, such as to live a more joyful life
This foundational class will be held Dec. 2-4, 2022, at Terramuse, which is a beautiful retreat center nestled in the countryside near Mechanicsville, Iowa. Space is limited to 10 students.
