Tiny Triumphs Speech and AAC

Tiny Triumphs Speech and AAC At Tiny Triumphs Speech & AAC, we empower children to communicate in the ways that work best for them.

Join a space where your child is celebrated for their strengths, creatively supported in reaching their goals & where tiniest triumphs mean the most! I am an ASHA-certified speech language pathologist who is passionate about empowering children to communicate and interact with the world. I especially love working with children who are emergent communicators and helping them learn the power of communication through words, gestures, sign language, pictures, and/or high-tech speech generating devices. I have been working with preschool- and school-aged children with special needs for over 10 years. I have worked with a wide range of populations, from children with speech sound disorders to children who are medically complex and use an eye gaze system to communicate, and everything in between

You may have noticed some of these communication boards placed at some of our playgrounds, most recently at Isle Of Palms County Park with funding from the Charleston County Parks Foundation.

These boards are a composition of images and support inclusive play on our playgrounds allowing children with limited verbal communication to connect with other kids or their caregivers in real time.

They also foster awareness that children with disabilities can actively participate in play when given the right tools, and promote empathy and acceptance by teaching children about different communication needs and abilities. It’s truly a learning tool for all kids as children can improve their reading skills, build picture-object associations, and learn new words with guidance from adults.

We posted last week about starting a bowling league or just a bowling day for people of all ages with disabilities. We couldn't believe how many messages we received and the overall feedback. I have created a website to just get emails and information about the bowlers so I can make sure everything is organized and I don't miss messages on Facebook. If you reached out or know bowlers interested it would be amazing if you could share this link!

A fun, inclusive bowling league for kids & adults with disabilities. Every Sunday morning in Biddeford, Maine.
