Sentire Vivo, LLC

Sentire Vivo, LLC Dedicated to what makes us all FEEL ALIVE, Sentire Vivo is a movement; a company focused on helping others seek what makes them FEEL ALIVE.

Sentire Vivo was born from the idea that there is something out there that makes us all FEEL ALIVE. Whether an athletic endeavor, a first finish, helping those in need, summiting mountain tops, witnessing another's conquest of a goal, or conquering the fear of something outside of your comfort zone. Simply, we are starting a movement, a mantra, a life code, an essence if you will. The clothing line, with the mission to help others FEEL ALIVE, simply helps to generate revenues that we will use a percentage of to assist charities and/or individuals that help others FEEL ALIVE! Get it SENTIRE VIVO = FEEL ALIVE! You can capture Sentire Vivo in a photo of a person, place or thing - anything that captures the essence of FEELING ALIVE to you personally. Send a link to music that inspires you to FEEL ALIVE. Write a narrative, share a story, let it flow. Important to remember that FEELING ALIVE may mean a lot of different things to a lot of different folks. It doesn't necessarily have to be about crossing finish lines or summiting large mountains. Although that does make some of us feel fantastic. It can be about helping someone less fortunate, someone with a disability, someone who needed a boost, a friend or family member wanting to feel more alive. Something about overcoming great mental or physical challenges in an effort to FEEL ALIVE. Overcoming a sickness, great odds, serious loss, or a seemingly insurmountable endeavor - all with the goal to feel more ALIVE. It's the passion of being inside the moment so deeply that all you can do is hold on and let the drive to FEEL ALIVE take you. It's attacking your own goals, and watching others attack theirs, all with the knowledge of what it takes to beat the fears, the physical demands, and the desire to get to the proverbial finish line. Feeling Alive is not a premise, it's a way of living your life. It's a way to face head on the things that bring you through the joy, pain, fear, and eventual conquest of what makes you know that you're alive. Sentire Vivo seeks to share this feeling through encouraging everyone to capture what makes them FEEL ALIVE. Through the creation of a simple specialty clothing line, we aim to spread the Sentire Vivo cause, passion, and way of life. By giving 2% of proceeds from the sale of our clothing to charitable foundations and individuals who help others find their passion, we hope to share the love of what makes us all FEEL ALIVE. Sentire Vivo...FEEL ALIVE!

Two years since a post seems like far too long without a comment on the things that make us come to life. This story struck a cord - for the good of the pursuit of adventure and life experiences, and the element of good for a cause. Go, fellas - way to get out there and seize what is important to you, all the while getting a taste of the wild adventure that makes you feel alive.

The world lost a sweet soul yesterday, and our extended family lost a loved one who will forever leave an empty space that used to be filled with her kind spirit, her laugh, and her love of her family. Rest in peace, Sharon, and know that the memories you leave with us make us ever grateful for having had you in our lives. Sometimes the hardest lessons learned come with terrible tragedy and loss. Don't take anything for granted; life is short and can change in the blink of an eye. Love, laugh, be kind and don't regret. We'll miss you.

"Don't fall into the trap of letting your life get smaller as you get older"

Indeed

Dear Ones -

This is a line my (73 year-old) mother said to me the other day, while she was issuing a gentle warning not to fall into the trap of letting your life get smaller as you get older.

She was talking about how frustrating she finds it that — somewhere around the age of 50 or 60 — she watched as so many of her peers stopped making goals and long-term plans for adventure and exploration in their lives. Instead, they began shutting down, and making their lives smaller, and their minds smaller, too. She got so weary of listening to them making self-deprecating jokes about how old they were, and how much their bodies hurt, and how bad their hearing and eyesight was getting... She felt they had surrendered to age far, far, far too soon. My mom said, "Nothing is more frustrating to me than listening to people who are still vital saying, 'Well, at our age, you have to be careful...'"

No. She begs to differ. As you get older, there is no more time to be careful, and no more REASON to be careful — at least as my mom sees it. Instead, this is time to seize as much life and joy and adventure and learning and novelty as you possibly can. As my mom said, "I hate seeing people slide themselves into the grave far before their time. Death will come when it comes — but it's crazy to sit around waiting for it. If you're not dead yet, you're not done yet."

My mom thinks that everyone should have a five-year plan for their lives, and also a ten-year plan, and a twenty-year plan — and that every few years you have to revisit your plans to see if your goals and aspirations have changed...and that you should never stop making these plans, even as you age. (Especially as you age!) She has shared with me the travel she wants to do in the next 20 years, and work she wants to finish, the projects she wants to begin, the cultures she wants to explore, the people she wants to enjoy, her fitness goals...

It's inspiring.

I have heard people speak of their lives as if they were finished at 30, done at 40, washed up at 50, too late to start over at 60, no more chances at 70...

But are you still here?

Then you aren't done yet.

Don't make your life smaller as the years pass. If it's time to start over, then it's time to start over. If you aren't where you planned to be, then it's time to make a new plan.

Today, I ask you all to share the most inspiring stories you know (from your own life, or the lives of others) about people who refused to be done yet, because they aren't dead yet.

Rise up, everyone, and keep rising.

We are still here. There is much to be done and enjoyed.

Let's go.

ONWARD,
LG

We lost a good friend to ALS last week, and his life was celebrated over the weekend with a gathering of hundreds of people honoring what a good man and father he was. This has been a sobering lesson in the need to appreciate life, and to go after it with a zest and a fierceness that will leave you with no regrets. Mark Carr was a brave and generous soul, and he will be sorely missed. We can only honor him appropriately by continuing to be fearless and continuing to feed our adventurous spirits. Thank you to his family (Margaret, Sophie, Dominic, and Mario) for the photo, taken from Mark's Caring Bridge page. Rest peacefully, Mark. We will honor you each day with continuing the Sentire Vivo spirit which you always embraced.

If this doesn't capture the spirit of going after what it is that makes you feel alive, I don't know what does. Great story written by a friend, about a remarkable man going after his freedom.

Growing up, David Poole earned the nickname "Madman" for his hard-charging ways in the backcountry. But a skiing accident left him paralyzed from the sternum down. Reporter Danielle Thomsen tells the story of Poole's journey back to the outdoors.
