Certified Health Coach: www.empowHERdwellness.com I am a multifaceted rural entrepreneur, a fifth-generation RanchHer, and proud to carry on the legacy of strong women in agriculture. My family and I raise draft-cross horses, and I am an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe from Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Honoring my heritage, preserving ranch life, and celebrating the role of women in agriculture are at the heart of what I do. My personal journey has been one of transformation - I lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off for nearly two years. That experience fueled my passion for helping other women step into their best selves. As a certified health coach, I now guide women toward healthier, happier, and more confident lives through sustainable habits and mindset shifts. The Native Cowgirl is more than just a brand - it’s a lifestyle rooted in grit, growth, and gratitude. Whether I’m sharing the daily rhythms of ranch life, health tips, or motivational stories, my mission is to empower and uplift women everywhere. Life isn’t fair…and it was never promised to be easy.
But hear this clearly: you are very capable.

Never give up.
Keep going.
Do your best, even on the hard days.

Stop complaining. Stop blaming others.
That only gives your power away.

Own your story.
Stand in your strength.
If you can see it and believe it, you can achieve it.

You’ve got this. Always have.

She stands in the smoke…
not because life was gentle,
but because she was strong enough to rise anyway.

Your softness still exists.
Your heart still feels.
Your spirit still aches at times.

And still…you are powerful.

Strong enough to breathe through uncertainty.
Strong enough to carry what feels heavy right now.
Strong enough to keep going, even when no one sees the battle.

Whatever is challenging you in this moment…
you were built to move through it, not break beneath it.

Stand tall.
You are stronger than you think.

In a world full of filters, highlight reels, and noise, choose to be real.

Be the woman who knows herself…who loves herself enough to grow, and respects herself enough to stay true. Not chasing approval. Not shrinking to fit. Not pretending to be something she’s not.

Push yourself, not to be perfect, but to be better than yesterday. Better in how you speak to yourself. Better in how you show up. Better in how you honor your goals, your values, and your dreams.

The real ones keep going even when it’s hard. They hold the line when it would be easier to quit. They stay rooted in who they are while the world tries to pull them in every direction.

Strive to be the best you can be…not for applause, but for alignment. When you live in truth, when you move with intention, when you stand firm in your purpose…that’s power.

Stay real. Stay driven. Stay you.

Grit isn’t loud.
It doesn’t beg for applause.
It shows up when no one is watching…and does the hard thing anyway.

Determination is choosing to keep going when it would be easier to quit.
It’s early mornings, tired bones, dirt under your nails, and a heart that refuses to fold.

Doing hard things builds something no one can ever take from you…
Confidence.
Self-respect.
Pride.

You don’t have to prove anything to the world.
You just have to make yourself proud.

And when you do…that pride runs deeper than success ever could.

Stand tall.
Dig deep.
Do the hard thing.

There is a kind of strength that doesn’t announce itself.

It doesn’t post its wins.
It doesn’t ask for applause.
It doesn’t explain how hard the road has been.

It just keeps going.

Quiet strength is getting up when your heart is heavy and your body is tired.
It’s choosing to move forward when stopping would be easier.
It’s holding the line when no one is watching and no one is cheering.

It’s the woman who keeps showing up even when she feels unseen.
The one who carries grief, responsibility, disappointment, and hope all at once.
The one who refuses to quit…even on the days she barely believes in herself.

That strength is built in the early mornings.
In the silent prayers.
In the long nights where tears fall and resolve rises anyway.

You don’t need recognition to be powerful.
You don’t need permission to persevere.
You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.

If you are still standing.
If you are still trying.
If you are still choosing forward…

That is strength.
That is resilience.
That is courage.

And it matters.

Some days the trail is smooth.
Other days it’s rutted, muddy, and full of unexpected turns.

Staying focused on your goals isn’t about everything going perfectly. It’s about choosing to keep going when life throws a curveball you didn’t see coming. It’s about remembering why you started…even when the road feels heavy and the detours feel unfair.

There will be days when motivation fades. Days when doubt gets loud. Days when it would be easier to hand over the reins and let circumstances decide for you.

But here’s the truth…you are still in the driver’s seat.

You get to decide how you respond.
You get to choose whether you slow down, adjust your grip, and keep moving forward.
You get to follow through, even when it’s hard, because your dreams are worth the discipline it takes to reach them.

Progress isn’t always loud or fast. Sometimes it’s quiet consistency. One step. One choice. One reminder that you are capable, resilient, and in control of where you’re headed.

Hold the reins steady. Eyes forward. Heart grounded.
You’ve got places to go.

Change has a funny way of knocking on the door when we least expect it.

Sometimes it feels uncomfortable…other times it feels like a deep breath you didn’t realize you needed.

Right now, change feels exciting. Refreshing. Full of possibility.

I’m helping my mom move back to Montana. New, yet familiar. A new landscape, new rhythms, new memories waiting to be made. This chapter comes after loss, after heartbreak, after saying goodbye to my dad…and it marks a new era for her.

Change doesn’t erase what was. It honors it by allowing what’s next.

I’m choosing to grasp this newness with enthusiasm. To welcome it with an open heart. To be grateful for the chance to be closer, to laugh more, to create fun memories together, and to walk this next season side by side.

Change is growth.
Change is healing.
Change is hope.

And sometimes, change is exactly what the soul needs to begin again.

Some news stops you in your tracks.

A friend of mine passed away…only a couple of years older than me. I am absolutely devastated. Cancer is cruel and unfair, and it reminds us in the hardest way that none of us are promised tomorrow.

And today carries even more weight…today is my dad’s birthday. His first one in heaven since he left us 7 weeks ago. The ache of missing him mixed with losing a friend is almost too much to put into words.

We spend so much time waiting. Waiting until things are easier. Waiting until we feel ready. Waiting until someday. But someday is not guaranteed.

If this life has taught me anything, it is this: do the things you want to do. Say the things that matter. Make the memories. Take the trip. Chase the dream. Love hard. Laugh loud. Do not live small or scared.

We only get one life to live…act like it.

Hold your people a little tighter today.
And do not waste a minute on fear or limits.

Never giving up isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about deciding, over and over again, that your life is worth the effort.

Eat better.
Not for a number on the scale…but so your body can heal, move, and show up for the life you want.

Feel better.
Because when you stop feeding yourself garbage, physically and mentally, everything changes.

Move more.
Your body was designed to move. Motion is medicine. Stiffness fades when you stop sitting on the sidelines of your own life.

Have less pain.
So you can saddle up, chase dreams, lift your kids, walk the hills, and live without constantly negotiating with your body.

Use common sense.
Drink your water. Get your sleep. Eat real food. Quit waiting for a magic pill to do the work you already know needs to be done.

And push yourself to be more.
More disciplined.
More committed.
More in control of your health and your future.

You don’t have to be extreme.
You just have to refuse to quit.

Your life changes when you do.

Clarity changes everything.

When you get quiet enough to hear your own voice, your goals stop feeling foggy and start feeling possible. You realize what matters. What doesn’t. What you’ve been putting off because it felt scary…or inconvenient.

Here’s the truth most people avoid:

You only get one life.

Not a practice round. Not a “someday.” One.

So stop shrinking your dreams to fit someone else’s comfort. Stop waiting for the perfect timing. Stop telling yourself you’ll start when things slow down.

Get clear. Get honest. Get brave.

Set the goal. Make the plan. Take the step. Then take another.

Act like this life matters…because it does.

Who is The Native Cowgirl?

My name is Cheyenne Glade Wilson and I am “The Native Cowgirl”. I am a fifth generation rancher with an intense love of horses and cattle. My family and I reside on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

I consider myself a creative artist because I love to express myself through different mediums (photography, writing, silversmithing). I am also a fifth generation cattle rancher.
