✨Floortime is more than play, it is connection in action! ✨

By following a child’s lead and joining their world, we nurture growth in thinking, communication, and emotional development all through joyful, meaningful play. 💕

Every giggle, glance, and game becomes a step toward meaningful development!

So next time you are playing with your child, remember, it is not just play, it is the heart of learning and development.

✨ I am so excited to finally share this with you, just in time for the holidays! ✨

Forget the mugs and candles this year. Give your child’s teacher or the teachers in your life (or yourself!) something that inspires growth, reflection, and connection.

A Journal for the Reflective Teacher
( 6x9 paperback 100 pages)
This journal was created to help educators pause, reflect, and grow with the heart of their practice. Rooted in DIRFloortime® principles, it’s filled with space for independent reflection, inspiring quotes to deepen connection, emotional regulation, and authentic engagement and reflective prompts created through a DIRFloortime lens to enhance reflection.

Whether you are an early childhood teacher, special educator, or DIRFloortime practitioner, or a parent this journal invites you to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the joy in teaching and connecting with children.

I love seeing children blossom in social settings and am so very thankful for these kind words. I’m reminded of why I want to offer community-based sessions. It’s incredible to see children becoming more confident, making friends, and developing their own play.

Why Community Support Matters for Your Child

At Aha Connections, we believe children learn and grow best when supported in the places where they live, play, and connect with others. Using the DIRFloortime® approach, we focus on helping children thrive in their everyday environments.

5 Reasons Community Support Helps Children

Practice in Real Life – Children can use their communication and play skills in everyday places like playgrounds, preschools, or music classes.

More Social Connections – Being in the community gives natural chances to play, share, and build friendships.

Confidence and Belonging – Familiar settings help children feel proud, capable, and part of their community.

Stronger Relationships – Parents and caregivers can join in play and connection moments that build joy and trust.

Inclusion for All – Supporting children in the community helps everyone learn to celebrate differences and embrace neurodiversity.

At Aha Connections, we are here to empower your child through relationship-based play—wherever they need support.

About us

Aha! Connections was established in 2003 to provide developmental and relationship-based services, based on DIR/Floortime methodologies, for young children who have challenges with social interactions, communication and play. We provide service for all children and provide specialized services for children diagnosed with autism, NVLD, social anxiety, and social emotional challenges. Our mission is to help children increase engagement, build and strengthen relationships and learn to enjoy interactions with those around them. During our play-based sessions, we focus on increasing each child's desire to connect, communicate, play, develop social thinking skills such as problem solving and flexibility, increase mindfulness, as well as help develop strategies for regulation. Using a family centered approach, we focus on empowering all family members. The family is the child's first connection to the world!

Jennifer Deady has over 20 years experience working with young children diagnosed with ASD. She is an Advanced Certified Autism Specialist, skilled in DIR/Floortime Intervention, Applied Behavior Analysis, knowledgable in Social Thinking®, RDI, yoga and mindfulness. She believe in bringing together multiple approaches in designing an individual approach for each child.
