Happy ! We are discussing utensil use and when little hands start to develop these big skills! ✨🍽️

From 12 months to 3 years, many children begin exploring self-feeding skills — whether with fingers, spoons, or other tools. In occupational therapy, we support this developmental journey by focusing on fine motor skills, coordination, and independence during mealtime.
We also honor and respect that feeding practices vary across cultures — utensils may not always be used, and that’s okay! 💛 OT is about supporting what’s meaningful and functional for each child and family.
