🧩💙 Caregivers, This One Is For YOU! We know how much you pour into the ones you love, and we never want you to pour from an empty cup. 💛
Alabama Lifespan Respite is offering a FREE basic respite provider training happening May 1–29 through CareAcademy — and we don't want any of our ASA families to miss it!

This training is designed for unskilled, in-home respite providers and includes the Caregiver Burnout Prevention Course — a 4-hour course that will help you:
🔹 Identify your sources of stress
🔹 Recognize the signs of burnout before they take over
🔹 Develop real coping skills to protect your health and well-being

Because here is the truth — you can only give exceptional care when you take care of yourself first. You matter too. 🌸
Whether you are preparing for planned respite services or emergency situations, this training will equip you with the tools to show up as your best self — for your loved one AND for you.

As we come to the end of this month, Autism Support of Alabama would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Governor Kay Ivey for signing the Autism Acceptance Month Proclamation.

Autism Acceptance Month is a time to celebrate and honor the unique experiences, identities, and contributions of Autistic individuals across our communities. We are grateful for the recognition and support that help foster greater understanding, inclusion, and acceptance throughout Alabama.

Together, we continue to move forward, uplifting voices, embracing differences, and building a more inclusive future for all. 💙
