Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Today, we celebrate love in all its forms—the love of family, the love of friends, and the love that makes our autism community so special. Every smile, every act of kindness, and every moment of support reminds us of the incredible hearts that make our world brighter.

To all the families, caregivers, friends, and supporters who walk alongside us every day: we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you. Your love, patience, and dedication make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

With Love,

Meet Jahara Mitchell, a vibrant 15-year-old who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 10 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jahara is full of creativity and curiosity. She loves listening to music, especially K-pop, and enjoys watching Stranger Things, Godzilla movies, anime, and horror films. When she takes a break from her phone, she channels her artistic side by making beaded bracelets for herself and her friends at school.

Beyond her hobbies, Jahara is known for her kind heart. She’s always ready to cheer someone up or lend a helping hand to those around her.

💙 Jahara reminds us that every individual with autism has unique talents, interests, and a special way of spreading joy!

Do you know someone on the Autism Spectrum who inspires you with their personality, talents, or story? We want to celebrate them! 💙

Our Faces of Autism series highlights individuals of all ages and backgrounds, showcasing the diversity, strength, and brilliance of the autism community across our state.

Whether it's a child exploring their interests, a teen achieving new milestones, or an adult making a difference in their community — every story matters, and every face deserves to be seen.

✨ Let’s uplift voices, break down stigma, and foster understanding — together.

Meet Nehemiah “Nemo” Rutledge, an amazing 11-year-old who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 5.

Nemo is full of rhythm, heart, and talent! He loves playing the drums 🥁 and video games, and he’s always ready to bring the beat — or the fun. 🎮✨

Born on Cinco de Mayo, it’s no surprise that his favorite food is tacos 🌮! Nemo also has a knack for numbers — he placed 5th in his school’s math derby and absolutely loves math. ➗📚

Nemo’s creativity, intelligence, and joyful spirit remind us how every child shines in their own incredible way. 💙
