If you’re waiting for the perfect moment it’s never going to happen.

The stars are never going to align. I need you to stop waiting for them to.

I have done this work broke. I have done it sick. I have done it hurt. I have done it solo parenting with toddlers to teenagers and rusty dumbbells in my basement. Now through perimenopause and building a business from scratch.

There has never been a perfect window. There will not be one. Life is always happening around you, to you, at you.

The goal is not to wait for a quieter season. The goal is to build something so sustainable and so aligned with your actual life that it holds even in the hard ones. 🫡

That is what we build here. Not the perfect plan. The right one for you, right now.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time, this is your sign. Drop a question below and let’s figure out what aligned actually looks like for your life right now. 👇

I’ve been breaking down everything you’d want to know before starting a GLP-1 over the last few weeks. These are tips I’d give anyone honestly, considering medication or not, because it’s the foundation of the work that I do. They still apply if you’re on them as well.

Your body already makes GLP-1. The goal is to support that system as well as you possibly can, and guess what? It looks a lot like just eating well and moving consistently.

Protein at your meals. Fiber rich whole foods. Balanced meals throughout the day instead of isolated snacks. Slowing down when you eat. Taking care of your gut. Moving your body regularly.

These aren’t hacks. This is just alignment, and it works with or without a prescription.

If you want to understand more about how GLP-1 medications actually work, the side effects worth knowing about, and the questions to ask before you start, the earlier posts in this series are worth a scroll through my page.

Otherwise save this one, because these 7 levers are worth coming back to.

My husband literally scopes me out every time I flex... but sure, I shouldn’t lift heavy 😂

Meanwhile, inside my program, couples are out here going into deficits together, filling in each other’s gaps, and building something that actually sticks because accountability hits different when it lives in your own house.

Most of my top members are a couple duo. Same household, different strengths, common goal.

Is your partner your biggest accountability asset — or are you silently plotting their demise while they eat ice cream in front of you? 👇

This may hit a nerve… especially if you’ve spent money on gut tests and supplements.

But if you’re working out, eating well, and still dealing with bloating, constipation, or inconsistent digestion… jumping straight to expensive tests, supplements, and restrictive protocols probably isn’t your first step.

Those things can have a place. But a lot of what’s out there is very cookie-cutter.

Same supplements.
Same restrictions.
Same protocols.

Without actually looking at you.

Your habits.
Your routine.
Your stress.
Your environment.

Because more often than not, it’s the day-to-day patterns that are driving a lot of these symptoms. And when you actually start there, you can see a lot of improvement without spending hundreds of dollars.

Then, if needed, you layer in support. Not the other way around.

If you’ve been dealing with bloating or inconsistent digestion and want a place to start… comment GUT and I’ll send you some foundational practices you can start today. 💙

💙 Why she continued

What made the difference for Amy wasn’t just having a plan…
it was having an approach that actually fit her.

Amy and I had already worked together for years, but this past year gave us the space to move away from a more structured, one-size-fits-all approach and truly tailor her coaching to her body and her goals.

We were able to slow things down and adjust for what was actually going on in her body. Things like digestion, stress, glucose regulation, and hormonal changes. And from there, build a plan that supported her health, her goals, and the season she’s in.

This is where real progress happens.
When your approach evolves with you.

GLP-1 medications don’t work by directly causing fat loss.

They influence:

• appetite
• fullness
• food reward
• blood sugar regulation

Which often leads to reduced intake and more stable energy.

That’s why they’re used for more than just weight loss,
including metabolic and blood sugar support.

But here’s an important piece to understand:

Most of these effects are tied to the medication itself.
When it’s stopped, those effects often lessen.

Without the right support in place,
that can make it harder to maintain results.

Understanding how they work
helps you use them more intentionally 💙

This is not medical advice.
It’s here to help you make informed decisions alongside your provider.

Follow along, I’ll be breaking down what to watch for next.

If you’re trying to improve ferritin, understanding how iron works in the body is often an important starting point.

Iron in food comes in two forms: heme iron (found in animal foods) and non-heme iron (found in plant foods). Heme iron is generally absorbed more efficiently.

Pairing iron-rich foods with vitamin C can help improve absorption, while certain compounds like coffee, tea, calcium, and phytates may reduce absorption when consumed at the same time as iron-rich meals.

Iron needs can also increase with things like heavy menstrual cycles, endurance training, high training volume, pregnancy/postpartum, or low dietary intake, which can make maintaining healthy iron stores more challenging for some individuals.

Iron is an essential nutrient, but too much iron can also be harmful, which is why supplementation should always be guided by labs rather than taken blindly.

If you’re experiencing symptoms and suspect low iron, a full iron panel typically includes markers like:

Iron panel markers:
• ferritin
• serum iron
• TIBC / UIBC
• iron saturation

These markers together help provide a clearer picture of iron status.

These markers are not always included in routine blood work, so sometimes they need to be specifically requested.

In my previous reels I shared my ferritin labs and some of the symptoms that led me to ask for testing. If you missed those, check them out for more context.

Understanding your labs can be one way we advocate for our health and have more informed conversations with our healthcare providers.

And sometimes having a knowledgeable coach in your corner can help connect the dots between training, nutrition, labs, and how you’re actually feeling day to day. 💙

Have you ever had your ferritin tested as part of a full iron panel?

This is one of my favorite kinds of transformations to share.

Sherri has gone from a size 𝟲–8 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝟮–4 while her weight has stayed relatively stable. A clear example of body recomposition built through strength training, aligned nutrition, and consistency.

That didn’t come from eating less or pushing harder.

It came from:
• Increasing calories to support her lifts
• Reducing processed foods
• Making targeted tweaks to support digestion
• And staying consistent with programming she actually enjoys

This is the most consistent she’s ever been and it shows not just in how her clothes fit, but in how strong and capable she feels.

David’s journey followed naturally.
He started with training, got stronger, noticed his shoulder feeling better — and then chose to bring nutrition into the mix when it felt like the right next step.

Now he’s:
• Lifting stronger
• Training without constant shoulder pain
• Experiencing better digestion
• Relying less on energy drinks to get through the day

No extremes. No pressure.
Just better awareness, better support, and habits that fit real life.

𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 — 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

If you’ve been consistent but feel like something still isn’t clicking, it might not be about doing more — it might be about doing what actually fits.

12/13/2025

Consistency gets easier when your habits don’t feel punishing.
Small wins, gentle structure, and a little play go a long way, especially in midlife when stress, hormones, and real life are already full.

Whether it’s journaling, movement, hydration, or food choices, the goal isn’t a perfect streak; it’s building habits that actually support your nervous system, metabolism, and energy.

If you like gamifying habits, tell me:
What’s your favorite way to track or celebrate consistency?

12/11/2025

Winter can feel heavier for so many of us — and there’s a real physiological reason behind it.
Less sunlight = a disrupted circadian rhythm, lower mood, harder mornings, more cravings, and that “off” feeling that’s tough to put into words.

And here’s something surprising:
Research has actually shown that 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲.
Not because sunlight is magic… but because our biology depends on regular light exposure to regulate everything from mood to energy to metabolic health.

I’ve been talking recently about getting outside for walks, even though I absolutely hate the cold. Those few minutes outside? They help anchor my mood, my energy, my sleep, my appetite… all the things that tend to drift this time of year.

It’s one of my own 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 — the small, doable actions (I’ve been emailing about) that stack up into real momentum.

Not perfection. Not forcing yourself into extreme routines.
Just tiny, supportive choices that remind your body, “I’m here. I’m taking care of you.”

If winter hits you harder than you expect, you’re not alone.
This season asks a little more from us, but small habits truly make a meaningful difference. 💙

If you’re out here doing the “winter layer shuffle” like me just to get a 10-minute walk in… you’re my people. 😂

Struggling with winter energy?
DM me and I’ll help you choose a few daily deposits that don’t require looking like you’re trekking through the Arctic. 💙
