Cause: Under Investigation
The Parker Fire, located on the west side of the Huachuca Mountains within the Miller Peak Wilderness near Scotia Canyon, was worked throughout the evening. Firefighters reinforced and built out containment lines surrounding the fire, while helicopters continued to dump buckets of water on hot spots.
Initial estimates were high as the possibility of spread looked likely, but with the support from boots on the ground, it was caught and confirmed at .25 acres.
Firefighters will remain at the scene throughout the night and will continue to monitor, mop up, and address interior hot spots tomorrow.
For the safety of yourself and the firefighters, please avoid the area as there will be additional fire traffic.

The area is under Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs). Individuals who have been determined to have endangered manned aircraft or people on the ground with a UAS and/or interfered with wildfire suppression may be subject to civil penalties, including fines of up to $25,000, and potentially criminal prosecution.

Cause: Under Investigation
At 2:25 pm on June 3, 2025, a smoke report was made and subsequently confirmed on the west side of the Huachuca Mountains within the Miller Peak Wilderness near Scotia Canyon. The fire is currently back down the hillside in steep terrain. Two helicopters are working the fire with water bucket drops while resources are hiking in to help support the work on the ground.
