Sometimes the people who appreciate peace the most are the ones who had to survive chaos to get here.
If you came from a hard life, it can feel confusing when things are finally good. You may wait for something to go wrong. You may struggle to relax. You may feel guilty for resting, receiving love, or enjoying calm moments. That doesn’t mean you’re doing life wrong. It means your nervous system learned to survive before it learned to feel safe. Healing often looks like learning how to enjoy the good without bracing for the bad. It looks like letting joy in, even if only for a moment. It looks like working through hard moments without believing they erase all your progress.
You are allowed to have a beautiful life after a painful past. You are allowed to laugh after loss. You are allowed to feel peace and still be healing. READ THAT AGAIN. 🤍
