Missouri Slope

Missouri Slope is the only senior care organization in Bismarck-Mandan that is both a non-profit and locally owned. Interested in joining our team?

Founded in Christian faith, we have provided exceptional care to our community and beyond, since our incorporation in 1962. The idea for our cutting-edge facility sparked to life when local Lutheran congregations and community leaders came together to answer a growing need for healthcare services. We incorporated Missouri Slope Lutheran Homes, a non-profit organization in 1962. After years of fundraising and construction, we finally opened our doors in 1967. Our governing board is selected by our corporate members: Trinity, Faith Lutheran, Good Shepherd, Lutheran Church of the Cross, Lord of Life, First Lutheran Church of Bismarck, House of Prayer, First Lutheran Church of Mandan, and Sunne Lutheran. In 2021 we opened our brand-new state-of-the-art care center. Our new building is home to 192 bright and pleasant private rooms. Dining, living, and activity rooms are on each floor along with beautiful sunrooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows. Other amenities include outdoor garden areas, a beauty and barbershop, a Bistro and commons area, and a chapel where our residents and their families can embrace spiritual and faith development. We take pride in our mission which is: Founded in Christian Faith, we enrich lives with love and compassion. We also offer free WIFI, free basic cable, the ability to email your loved ones, Skype, Facebook, and computer access through our Activity Department. 🐾 Today was a tail-wagging good day! We were thrilled to welcome several local therapy dogs who brought smiles, laughter, and lots of happy moments to our Assisted Living tenants. Nothing brightens a day quite like puppy love!

Missouri Slope is honored to have been awarded the Platinum Level of North Dakota's Antimicrobial Stewardship Honor Roll.

This recognition represents the excellence of our staff's commitment to antimicrobial stewardship, tracking of antimicrobial usage, promoting guideline-based usage of antimicrobials, and collaboration of stewardship within the community.

We are proud to receive this Platinum Award in recognition of the exceptional work our staff carries out every day!

Missouri Slope Hillview Campus News:
Missouri Slope proudly operates a full range of care, including Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Long Term Care, Assisted Living, and Home Care. The decision to consolidate our skilled nursing facility services reflects the growing demand for services that support aging at home and expanded care options within our community members.

The Hillview Campus will continue operating its Assisted Living facility, Missouri Slope at Home offices, and the Missouri Slope Foundation. Additional uses for the campus are being explored.
