November 18-24th is Antibiotic Awareness Week!

Everyone can help fight antimicrobial resistance, when germs like bacteria and fungi stop responding to medicines that once killed them.

By working together through a One Health approach, which looks at the connections between people, animals, and the environment, we can protect these medicines for the future.

This means improving how antibiotics and antifungal medicines are prescribed and used around the world, and preventing infections in people, animals, and the environment through good hygiene, clean water, and healthy living conditions.

Read these five things to know to learn more about antibiotic resistance and what you can do to help.
