What an incredible weekend and an even bigger honor.

Last Friday, I was officially installed as the 2025–2026 President of the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians (NAFP) during the 78th Annual Meeting & Scientific Assembly.

It’s incredibly HUMBLING to step into this role alongside the 77 physicians who have served before me. I’m especially proud to share a few meaningful milestones:
• 10th female President
• First Osteopathic Physician (DO) to serve as President
• First Direct Primary Care physician in this role

This past week was MORE than a conference, it was a reminder of the STRENGTH, PASSION AND PURPOSE within family medicine.

I’m honored to advocate for my fellow physicians over the next year and excited to help drive MEANINGFUL healthcare reform and POSITIVE WINS for both rural and urban communities across Nebraska.
