When Seabury Visiting Nurses and Care Now met to discuss the candidates for the 2020 Caring Hands Award it was Michelle Wallace who stood out. Michelle consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her clients and deserves the highest praise for her noteworthy level of skill. She frequently suggests creative interventions to assist the Personal Health Coordinator in keeping her client safe and comfortable at home. Michelle’s skill when dealing with someone with dementia has been impressive and she demonstrates a deft handling of complex and challenging cases. She truly cares for her clients and demonstrates this daily in the warmth and compassion she shows to all people. Michelle implements new strategies to ensure patient safety while maintaining the client’s dignity and demonstrating respect for their feelings. Michelle Wallace shares her insights and strategies to enhance patient care with everyone involved. This allows the Seabury team to achieve the best outcomes for her clients and has resulted in much praise from her client’s family members.
