Bright Futures, Real Conversations — Fall Career Fair at OCtech 🍂

Yesterday, our South Carolina team spent the day at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College’s Fall Career Fair — and it was one of those moments that remind you why connection matters. 🤝

We met students who were curious, hopeful, and ready to imagine what their next chapter could be. In each conversation, we shared something meaningful: that in home health care, especially within the IDD community, there is space to build a career rooted in purpose, dignity, and person-centered support.

The theme, “Catch the Wave! Adapt and Engage ALL Learners!” speaks directly to what drives us at OneWell: the belief that every individual, regardless of ability, deserves care that sees them, hears them, and meets them where they are.💙

We’re proud to stand alongside educators, advocates, and health professionals who are shaping a more inclusive future. For South Carolina’s IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) community, it’s a wave of change that lifts voices, breaks barriers, and redefines what person-centered care truly means.

OneWell is proud to partner with Palmetto ABLE to bring South Carolina’s IDD community a free, high-impact webinar focused on financial empowerment and future planning.

This session is designed for families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities — and for the professionals who support them.

Together, we’ll explore how the Palmetto ABLE Savings Program can help the families save and invest — without putting essential benefits like Medicaid or SSI at risk.

Karen Crider, Program Manager at Palmetto ABLE with the South Carolina Treasurer’s Office, will lead the session and share practical insights on eligibility, benefits, and how this program supports long-term independence. 📌

This is part of OneWell’s ongoing commitment to person-centered care — and to making sure South Carolina’s IDD community has access to every tool that builds dignity, choice, and security.
