We recently had the incredible opportunity to host a group all the way from South Africa for some golf here in South Florida! 🌍⛳️

Whether I'm running a clinic for a Veteran or a First Responder, or teeing it up with international guests, it always amazes me how this game acts as a universal language. During our time on the course, we got into a great conversation about what draws us all to the sport.

It was awesome hearing their perspective.

This isn't just about a game; it's about the quality of life for those holding the line. 🇺🇸

The conditions at the Guantanamo Bay golf course are, quite frankly, a disservice to the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Civilians stationed there. It’s so far gone that you have to bring your own piece of turf just to have a surface to hit off of. If I weren’t so ashamed of the state of these facilities, I’d be in tears.

Our Service Members deserve better. They deserve a place to decompress, build camaraderie, and focus on their wellness.

Warrior Golf Academy is officially on a mission to change this. We are heading to GTMO to revitalize their facilities, but we can't do it alone. We are actively seeking:

🔹 Sponsors to help fund equipment and travel.
🔹 Partners to provide simulator technology and gear.
🔹 Donations to ensure every hero on that island has access to quality clubs and instruction.

It’s time to stop talking about supporting our troops and start showing it on the ground.

Decided to save my ears and go suppressed on the G19 EDC. If you’ve ever had your ears ring for days, you know why.

The Build:
🔹 Base: 19
🔹 Glass: Red Dot
🔹 Can: Obsidian (Modularity is 🔑)
🔹 Light:
🔹 Upgrades: internals/hardware

It’s a bit more to carry, but being "hearing safe" in a defensive scenario is a massive advantage.

SGT Usman (Mo) is in the house to talk about the most important part of your swing: The Setup. ⛳️🪖

At Warrior Golf Academy, we know that if your foundation is off, everything else follows. SGT Usman (Mo) is breaking down the pre-shot routine to help you approach the ball with confidence and consistency.

Mo’s Setup Essentials:
✅ The Approach: Don’t just walk up to the ball. Approach it from behind to visualize your target line first.
✅ Athletic Stance: Feet shoulder-width apart, slight bend in the knees, and a flat back. You should feel grounded and ready to move.
✅ Alignment: Ensure your clubface is square to the target before you set your feet. Your body should be parallel to that target line, like railroad tracks.

A disciplined setup leads to a disciplined swing. Big thanks to Mo for helping us bridge the gap between Military precision and golf performance!

Grip it and rip it, the RIGHT way! ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Most amateurs struggle because they hold the club in their palms. If you want more speed and control, you have to get that club into your fingers.

The WGA Quick-Check:
✅ Start Behind: Set the club parallel to your feet and reach back, this naturally seats the grip in your fingers.
✅ Thumb Position: Aim your lead thumb just slightly right of center.
✅ The "V" Shape: Bring your trail hand over the top. Whatever you do, don't let that bottom hand creep underneath! 🚫

A proper grip feels weird at first, but it’s the foundation of a consistent swing. Save this for your next range session!

Adding some "heavy metal" to the big stick today. ⚖️

Adding a little lead tape to the driver to dial in that swing weight and help square the face. It’s a simple tweak that can make a massive difference in feel and ball flight.

Sometimes, a small adjustment is all you need to find the center of the face again. 🏌️‍♂️💥

Being a PGA Coach doesn't mean my own game is immune to distractions. ⛳️🐾

I always tell my students to focus on their routine, but Mojo has his own ideas about my tempo. Apparently, he’s my toughest critic. Sometimes you just have to laugh it off, enjoy the moment, and realize the "paws" in your backswing is just part of the game.
