A love letter to you, on this 5th anniversary of Catalyst.
Five years ago, when Stephanie and I started Catalyst Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, we couldn’t have imagined the twists and turns ahead. We never expected a global pandemic to challenge us so soon, nor could we have foreseen the remarkable support and care from our patients. Your influence on our journey has been immense and deeply appreciated.
Over the past few years of running Catalyst solo, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for how therapeutic this space has become for patients and for me as well. I'm fortunate to work in an environment that fosters rest, balance, and a human-centered approach. What I have learned from working with each of you is priceless. Thank you for sharing your lives and challenges, showing up for appointments on time, exposing your pulse, and letting me be a witness to your life.
I’ve been privileged to accompany many different journeys, sensing shifts in your pulse through loss, stress, pain, joy, divorces, marriages, pregnancies, cancer, illness, and trauma. Each pulse I felt beneath my fingertips would guide me in placing needles where they seemed to write a unique poem for each person. While I strive to explain why I choose certain points, often the most straightforward answer is, "Because your body guided me there." Thank you for letting me practice mt prose, for letting me learn and be taught
I hope I have left you better than I found you and that our exchanges were meaningful and authentic. I promise to continue to do my best to help you become more embodied and empowered. My biggest desire is that you find and harness that incredible power within you.
After seven years of practice and five years of running my business, I feel like I’m finally hitting my stride, and I have you to thank for it!
