These preemies have power!

During November’s Prematurity Awareness month, we are celebrating the strength of our families and babies who have experienced the challenges and triumphs of a premature birth.

Whether families are navigating the early days of a NICU now or reflecting on their journey later, this month is a time to honor them.

These preemies remind us daily that big dreams start small.

Take a look at some of our tiniest fighters and team this week.

We're celebrating 1,000!

This week, Colon and Re**al Surgeon Dr. Sheev Dattani completed his 1,000th surgical procedure applying the innovative, minimally invasive da Vinci surgical system at our Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

His team joined him in celebrating this major milestone and what it means for our region's patients.

Robotic technology makes minimally invasive procedures possible and with advanced surgical senses, it contributes to improved patient outcomes.

Join us in congratulating Dr. Dattani in the comments below.

In the Medical ICU, perspective is everything—and Noah brings it.

Noah, RN has been with Saint Alphonsus for just over four years, starting on the Neuroscience Unit and now working in the Critical Care department. As a bedside nurse in the Medical ICU, he plays a vital role in coordinating care and advocating for patients and their families during some of life’s most critical moments.

“As an RN, I have the privilege of trying to help bridge the knowledge gap between the healthcare team, the patients, and their loved ones,” Noah shares. “During times of critical illness, closely monitoring and effectively communicating findings to the healthcare team is vital.”

His approach to care is grounded in empathy and clinical excellence.

“I always try and put my feet in my patients’ and their loved ones’ shoes. It’s what allows me to ‘bring it’ each and every day that I am at the bedside.”

Whether it’s a tough case or a quiet moment of reassurance, Noah shows up with sharp skills, clear communication, and deep compassion—because that’s what meaningful recovery demands.

Festival of Trees returns for its 41st year and marks a beloved tradition that brings our community together to celebrate creativity, generosity, and the spirit of the season.

De, a Festival tree decorator since the event's beginnings, is sharing a few of her favorite decorating tips to help you make your own tree shine this year.

De’s tricks and tips include:

💡 Lighting: More isn’t always better. De shares that about 700–800 lights is the sweet spot for that warm holiday glow.
🌲 Fluff it up! Pull branches in and out to make your tree look naturally full.
🎀 Go for variety: Use three textures of ribbon or garland and three sizes of ornaments for depth and sparkle.
✨ Budget-friendly tip: Cut 6–9 ft garlands into thirds, tuck them in, skip about 10 inches, and continue around the tree for a designer look, without the designer price tag!
💎 Decorating order: Start with your biggest ornaments first and finish with the delicate glass ones last.

Experience the magic and the wonder of our community decorators at this year’s Festival of Trees.

📅 General Exhibition: November 26-30 | 📍Boise Centre
