Idaho Medicaid is recruiting for a new Pharmacy Director!

This position reports to the Medical Director and leads Idaho Medicaid’s pharmacy program, including providing clinical oversight and direction to the pharmacy benefits administrator and supplemental rebates contracts as well as overseeing the in-house pharmacy team and call center (two staff pharmacists, two opioid safety contract pharmacists, and five pharmacy techs).

State funding is now available for DEA registration for pharmacists in Idaho! Funding received from the State Directed Opioid Settlement Fund has been granted to cover the expenses of enrollment, allowing enrollment free of cost to the health professional.

In accordance with the Idaho Behavioral Health Council’s priorities, this funding opportunity aims to incentivize new non-physician healthcare providers (e.g., pharmacists, prescribing psychologists, physician assistants, etc.) across Idaho to acquire DEA registration, thereby increasing the accessibility of treatment for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

Applicants eligible to receive funding from this grant are licensed prescribers in Idaho who choose to register with the DEA in consideration of the recent removal of the X Waiver requirement for prescribing Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). The awarded funds will serve as reimbursement for the cost of DEA registration. We encourage pharmacists to take advantage of this opportunity by registering and applying today.
