Día de los Mu***os, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1 and 2 to honor and remember deceased loved ones. It is a joyful and festive time, not mournful, where families welcome back the spirits of the dead with food, drink, and celebration to celebrate their lives. Altars or orfendas are built and pictures of those who have passed are displayed lovingly, along with items they loved while here on earth. This tradition is a wonderful way to work through grief and to celebrate and remember our loved ones who have passed.
