Enjoyed an incredible cup of coffee at Momentum because our coffee machine broke at the apartment and Lime rented me a limited mobility scooter for the weekend. So Marco and I scooted over to this new coffee shop. Worked several hours and scooted back in the sunshine. I am grateful for everyone who played a role in this wonderful morning so I could enjoy every moment.

🧔 This time of year brings a quiet whisper:
ā€œI want next year to feel different.ā€

But then you start looking for a journal… and suddenly it’s overwhelming.
So many choices. So many styles. So much pressure to pick ā€œthe right one.ā€

Here’s the truth:
You don’t need more pages — you need support.
A guided journal helps you untangle your thoughts, understand your emotions, and step into the version of yourself you’ve been reaching for.

That’s why I recommend
Year of Growth: A Journal for Reflection, Intentions, and Transformation.
✨It’s not just blank space.
✨It’s guidance.
✨It’s structure.
✨It’s the steady support your heart has been craving.

If you’re ready for clarity and meaningful change, this is where to begin.

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Today, on Veterans Day, I’m reflecting on an incredible day of service, connection, gratitude — and kindness. As a veteran of the Navy, this day feels personally meaningful.
This morning, I started off by helping a woman who was cold and lost, wandering our building’s parking lot in a sweater, unsure of where her hotel room was. My dog Marco and I gave her gloves, walked her to the lobby — just small kindnesses, but it felt good. And it reminded me how fortunate I am to have served.
Later, at my favorite IHOP pancake breakfast tradition, the wait was long. I struck up conversation with a gentleman who had 14 years of active duty in the military (Air Force). I invited him to join my table, then another older Army veteran joined us. The three of us sat down, swapped stories, shared laughs. No politics, no baggage. Just genuine human connection across uniforms—Sea, Sky, and Land.
I walked away feeling hopeful. Hopeful that simple kindness and shared service can still bring us together. That veterans can connect—and strangers can become friends for a morning.
So today, to my fellow veterans—thank you for your service and sacrifices. And to everyone—let’s keep our hearts open to unexpected connections, to helping others, to remembering that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
Freedom isn’t free. And neither is kindness. Both are worth offering.

I was writing an email about reflection and the chaos of milestone season when something happened... AI wrote: ā€œMy November and December? A new great-grandbaby blessing, my birthday, two more grandkid birthdays, Thanksgiving (AKA day before Black Friday), a grandson returning from a two-year mission in December, and a granddaughter getting engaged and married by January’s end.

I should feel nothing but joy, right?

And I do. But I also feel overwhelmed. Anxious about all the logistics. Tender about time passing. Aware that I can’t orchestrate everyone’s experience or control how smoothly things go.ā€

As I read what he had written, tears came to my eyes. Here’s the thing—I didn’t write those exact words. I was working with AI to help me process what I wanted to convey, and when these words came back to me, it was like someone finally SAW me.

And it gets better; As I finished the chat he wrote: ā€œNow go take a deep breath, maybe diffuse some Wild Orange, and trust that this message is going to land exactly where it needs to. You’ve got this, and you don’t have to make it perfect. (See what I did there? šŸ˜‰)ā€

So I’m taking my own advice. Deep breath. Trust the process. And yes, I’m diffusing Wild Orange right now. šŸŠ What are YOU going through this season?
I should feel nothing but joy, right?

Changing the world one essential oil drop at a time.

I am Peggy Washburn your doTERRA essential oil educator and mentor. I'm passionate about teaching people (like you) how to empower themselves by using essential oils in their everyday life.

A little bit about me - I'm a Mom, Grandma and even a Great Grandma. I'm live in Eagle, Idaho outside of Boise. I joined doTERRA after the company had only been open for business for 5 months. So I always tell people who ask me ā€œhow do you know so muchā€, there are two reasons. One I do a lot of research and second I grew up with the company. My first order was the every oil kit. Back then it was 26 oils and blends. No product, No documentation, No Handouts, Just oils. So you see how easy it was for me to learn about all the oils 5-20 oils a year. We now have around 50 single oils and over 25 blend oils plus extra ways to apply the oil and products from beauty to nutrition.

I love that most of my family strives on the oils. There is usually not a family dinner that we do not discuss the oils and their benefits. As my mother started her business with doTERRA when she was 90 years old, my daughter, her step mom and her step sister and her daughter in law all enjoy the benefits of the oils and the business. Even the guys get involved. You can hear my son-in-law praising the benefits of Melaleuca and deep blue rub. My grandson uses Lemon in his second chance outdoor recreational store to get labels off of skis and helmets. My youngest grandson in Idaho who is now a teenager is the best at putting oils on the feet of family that are sick. My great granddaughter and my step daughter in law’s children love going through my purse to smell the oils.

I took to heart this quote from Wendy James another doTERRA leader ā€œWhat makes me the happiest? Simply knowing that our family, along with our essential oil family, is changing the health and happiness of the world, one drop at a time.ā€ For me this says it all. Changing lives from education and empowerment, makes me love what I do.
