**Congratulations to our 2025 Booneville Christmas Parade Grand Marshal — Kathy Swift!

Kathy has spent countless hours serving the South Logan County Community through her involvement with the Booneville Kiwanis Club, Reflection Point, and the Booneville Magazine Health Council — where she currently serves as treasurer for all three!

Her dedication doesn’t stop there. She’s served on the Mercy Regional Board of Trustees, the Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Communities Board of Directors, and has been part of many Chamber of Commerce projects and events over the years.

Kathy also helps lead the Booneville Kiwanis backpack food program for Booneville and Magazine Schools — coordinating food orders and deliveries — and has organized fundraisers for the American Cancer Society. She even helped create the Booneville Magazine Health Council, serving as its first president.

After a 40-year career in banking, Kathy is enjoying retirement, spending time with her family — including her sons, Brian and Brad, and her three wonderful grandchildren, Addie, Emmy, and Tyson — and traveling whenever she can.

We’re so proud to honor Kathy as this year’s Grand Marshal, celebrating her lifelong commitment to our community and the many ways she makes Booneville “A Good Home Town.” ❤️🎄

Did you know??

AR Kids and some private insurance will cover head lice treatment when prescribed by the P*P.

Our school nurse received a call from a drug representative who shared that most lice is resistant to the OTC medication that Walmart carries on the shelf. Natroba is a newer drug without resistance and is covered under AR Kids and some private insurance plans.

We know treatment can get expensive so it is important to not only treat but to take these other measures as well.

Natroba should be used in the context of an overall lice management program: •Wash in hot water or dry-clean all recently worn clothing, hats, used bedding and towels •Wash personal care items such as combs, brushes, and hair clips in hot water •A fine-toothed comb or special nit comb may be used to remove dead lice and nits.
