The Halloween fun didn’t stop this afternoon at Transcendent Healthcare North! We kept the celebration going with a Halloween party filled with cake, music, games, and more! Our residents had a great time enjoying the costumes, laughter, and time together. 💙

We also announced the winners of this years Staff Pumpkin Contest! Our 2025 Pumpkin Champion goes to Lynlee, Helping Hand with her pumpkin “Ms. Lavette”. Congratulations, Lynlee! Second and third place shout outs go to Mariah, Helping Hand with her pumpkin “S’mores by the Fire” and Karen, Director of Nursing with her pumpkin “Frankenstein”. Great job, ladies!

The fun wont stop - we will be passing out candy from 5 to 7 tonight. Come on by to see us!

One of our favorite Halloween traditions at Transcendent Healthcare North made its return today as the students from Loge Elementary School PTO walked across the street to sing for our residents in their Halloween costumes. These visits give our residents joy, connection, and a sense of community that can’t be replicated. It’s truly something we look forward to year after year.

Thank you to the staff and teachers at Loge for the heart you pour into your students and for continuing to include us in these special traditions. Moments like these remind us why we value our community partnerships so deeply. We are so grateful to continue to support and grow alongside our schools and community.

We had the best time today at Transcendent Healthcare North thanks to our new friend and local car enthusiast, Junior Sanderfur, who organized an incredible lineup of classic cars for our residents to enjoy.

The smiles, stories, and nostalgia from our residents were unmatched. So many memories were sparked just seeing those beautiful cars shine. We’re so grateful to Junior and all the guys who came out to share their passion with us and make our day so special. 💙

We love creating opportunities that help our residents build confidence and promote safe mobility. Light walking supports endurance and balance, while a friendly game of beanbag toss encourages strength, coordination, and focus—all with plenty of encouragement from our staff along the way.

Gardening tasks, like picking the last of the season’s tomatoes, offer a purposeful way to strengthen fine motor skills and upper extremity movement.

Each task allows residents to practice movement with intention while enjoying the sunshine, companionship, and sense of accomplishment that come with it.

At Transcendent Healthcare North, we’re committed to helping our residents move safely, confidently, and independently—because every step forward matters.

Big news and exciting transitions at Transcendent Healthcare North!

We’re excited to share that Katie Douglas will be transitioning from her role as Activities Director to lead our Restorative Program. Katie has been a vital part of our Transcendent family for years, bringing creativity, compassion, and love to our residents and everything she does. Her dedication to resident care and her passion for helping others grow make her a vital resource to our home.

Katie plans to be returning to school in January to pursue her LPN license and we are proud to be able to support her as she continues advancing her nursing career. While she’ll no longer be leading daily activities, residents and family members will still see her around the building! She will be working closely with residents to support mobility, strength, and overall health.

Please join us in thanking Katie for the joy and dedication she’s brought to our local community and our Activities Department over the last four years! We can’t wait to see all she’ll accomplish in her new role here at North!
