Hi! I’m Min Joo Kim, a Pre-Dental & Content Development Intern at MDK and a post-bacc student at Penn pursuing a career switch into dentistry. I’m especially interested in dental biomaterials and research, and I love MDK’s mission of making dental education more transparent and supportive. Outside of school, you’ll find me making matcha, café hopping, or taking ballet 🩰✨

What started as just an idea at Harvard has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. From our launch on 11/11/2020 to today, thousands of dental learners around the world now use MDK, and our platform is integrated into multiple dental school curricula. We’ve also partnered with over 30 incredible dental students to create high-quality, learner-level content 🦷!!

We’re so grateful for our community, our collaborators, and every learner who has believed in our mission 💛!

📚 Leela loves My Dental Key because it gives her the opportunity to create, from illustrations and videos to working closely with the team, all while helping dental students succeed.

🦷 Her favorite dental instrument is the 7a spatula, a fun nod to her very first dental school interview where she shared the same answer!

💡 She pursued Prosthodontics because it allows her to create smiles through crowns, dentures, and implant-supported prostheses, while building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients.
