Lupus is a chronic autoimmune condition that can affect the skin, joints, and internal organs, often presenting with subtle early symptoms. Persistent fatigue, joint pain or swelling, unexplained fevers, sensitivity to sunlight, skin rashes (including a butterfly-shaped rash on the face), hair loss, and mouth ulcers can all be early warning signs. Because these symptoms may come and go or resemble other conditions, early awareness and timely medical evaluation are essential for proper diagnosis and effective management.
