" I first met and had the great fortune to work with Xanthe on Broadway in CORAM BOY for which she was nominated for every award under the sun. Unsurprisingly, her work as a photographer is not unlike her work as an actor: Ballsy, in the moment, and settling for nothing but the truth. I've never worked with a photographer like her: she works off the actor, she does not limit herself to one distinct ‘style’, like other photographers, instead she meets yours, capturing you completely.
There’s nothing conventional about X, she goes deep and takes risks, which I love. Experimental, real collaboration, and raw truth. Aptly named by the NY Times as ' The working actor's photographer', Xanthe captures your soul. I wont shoot with anyone else."

Xanthe made the whole experience feel like hanging out with a friend—she chatted throughout the entire session, which totally took the pressure off and made it surprisingly comfortable and easy. She directed wardrobe and styling effortlessly, moved my hair around when needed, and just made me feel really good about myself. She's warm, easygoing, and has a great eye for what works—you can tell she genuinely cares about making you look and feel great. The product photos and headshots came out beautiful, and I'm so happy with how everything turned out!'

I’ve always been hesitant about getting my headshot taken. I’m not naturally comfortable in front of the camera, and past experiences have often felt stiff, overly styled and far from natural. But knowing Xanthe’s beautifully authentic style, I decided to take the plunge- and I’m so glad I did.

What you receive from Xanthe isn’t just a “headshot.” It’s a reflection of your true self, captured in the most honest, natural light.

Her process is extremely professional and efficient, yet the experience feels more like reconnecting with an old friend than a formal photo session. I had so much fun on set, I forgot I was even being photographed. She drew me out of myself and made me feel instantly at ease in front of the lens. In making me feel so comfortable and natural, she captured my childhood essence, which I was able to instantly pick up on in some of the photos that I received. I even shared a side-by-side comparison.

I’ve always admired Xanthe’s talent, but having been disappointed by photos of myself in the past, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I received exceeded anything I could have hoped for. The images were authentic, effortless, and professional—and, most surprisingly of all, I actually saw myself in them.

The whole experience was uplifting, empowering, and most importantly, incredibly fun. Don’t waste your time booking anyone else but Xanthe.

As a lawyer, corporate style photographs usually feel stiff and unnatural. I wanted something more relaxed, yet professional and where the quality was still of a very high standard. That’s why I chose Xanthe Elbrick. Shooting with Xanthe was so easy, comfortable and fun. She has such a warm and relaxed style and puts you at your ease immediately. I don’t know how she does it, but I’ve never worked with a photographer who is chatting to you, making you laugh and still captures the very essence of you with beautiful lighting whilst making you feel like she’s not really photographing you at all. She’s a true genius.
