✨ Moving maternal health equity from conversation to action.
Last week, we brought together 200+ clinicians, leaders, and community partners to advance real solutions—from expanding access to care to strengthening maternal health support. Black women in Massachusetts face nearly 2x higher risk of pregnancy-related death compared to White women. Nationwide, more than 84% of pregnancy-related deaths are preventable.

Thank you to our speakers, partners, attendees, and sponsors—and to our keynote speaker, Ndidiamaka Amutah-Onukagha—for helping move this work forward.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women who make NeighborHealth run every day—from senior leaders and Board members to physicians, nurses, support staff, cleaners, and drivers. Women play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our community. In fact, more than 60% of our workforce is made up of women.

This year’s theme, “Give To Gain”, highlights the power of generosity, mentorship, and collaboration in advancing gender equity. When we invest in women—through opportunity, support, and visibility—we help create stronger, healthier communities.
