The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) has been a vital part of the community for more than 50 years. From the beginning, our organization has been defined by the needs of East Boston and the communities we serve. We are the largest ambulatory care center in New England and more than half of our patients are best served in a language other than English. Our mission is to promote and sustain healthy communities, families, and individuals by providing accessible, person-centered, compassionate, high-quality health care services to all who live and work in our service area, regardless of ability to pay, while upholding diversity, equity, and inclusion at the core of all that we do. The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center is a deemed federal Public Health Service Employee.

As a community health center, we believe art can be a powerful force for wellness. It creates space for connection, reflection, and healing.

On Tuesday, members of our NeighborHealth team attended “Say It Loud: AAMARP, 1977 to Now” at the The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, honoring the artists and community leaders of the African American Master Artists-in-Residence Program at Northeastern University.

Thank you to the ICA for hosting a meaningful evening. We’re grateful to celebrate the artists shaping Boston’s cultural landscape. 💙

Last year, our East Boston-based kitchen prepared 𝟭𝟳𝟴,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀, including 𝟭𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲-𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 across Boston, Winthrop, Chelsea, Everett, and Revere as part of our Neighborhood PACE and 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 programs. When SNAP benefits were frozen, and food needs surged, our team stepped up—preparing 2,000 additional meals to support families, our food pantry, and a local women’s shelter during the holidays.⁣
⁣
We’re grateful to Rep. Adrian Madaro for visiting to recognize this incredible team. Thank you to our kitchen and delivery staff for showing what equity in action truly looks like. 🍽️💛⁣
