Babka and TicToc's busy day started with a bang! Well, a honk! to be more precise - and a bunch of them at that!! As soon as we entered the lobby of Franciscan we met an active, energetic young boy who absolutely could not believe his powers! With the mere touch of his finger, he could make Babka's nose honk! and TicToc's! and, TicToc was even able to honk his! He couldn't wait to show his mom! Our 15 kid journey took us through touching, yet off-key ("you're welcome!" says Babka) singings of The Wheels on the Bus and other classy favorites to our baby friends, mild ukulele serenades with brilliant kazoo accompaniments and even some awe-inspiring magic-at-a-distance (droplet precautions) by TicToc! Once again, bubbles abound and Babka couldn't help himself! To the giddiness of a friend, Babka gobbled up a few tasty bubbles for dessert... The pinnacle of our time was when one of the bubbles got stuck in TicToc's hat! Nurses and friends couldn't contain their laughter as the clowns struggled to keep her hat on... Thankfully our friend-at-a-distance was able to use his magical powers to push the hat securely on. Exhausted yet filled with joy, TicToc and Babka tiptoed off the unit with hopes of more fun and playing to come.

Two nice moments at the hospital today. Gabby and I serenaded a little girl while her mom stood by the bedside. The little girl was developmentally delayed, and she looked off into space with a flat affect. But as we sang, the slightest smile came over her face. The second moment occurred when we turned around to leave and saw a group of six or seven interns standing outside the room with huge smiles on their faces. They applauded as we left the room.
