Circle of Peace Animal Reiki & Equine Acupressure 🌿 Sessions & Classes
For animals — and the people who love them♄ Let's connect.

For many, animals are not only pets, they're our companions, they're family. The close connection I feel and experience with the amazing animals in my circle of life is why I'm devoted to helping animals feel better by offering Reiki and Equine Acupressure services and classes. Acupressure and Reiki address and support the whole animal...the physical body, the mind, and the spirit. If your animal companion is in pain, feeling sad, stressed and depressed, or is moving towards the rainbow bridge, feelings of helplessness can settle in. Learning these effective and non-invasive methods can empower you to bring peace and comfort to your animal, and yourself, while deepening your connection. I'm devoted to sharing and teaching these methods, so you can play a more active role in supporting the well-being of the animals in your life.

"Wait...you don't have to touch the animal to help them?" 🐾

This question pops up more than any other. While in human Reiki, hands-on is the typical method, in the Let Animals LeadĀ® Animal Reiki method, we follow the animal’s lead. We create a meditative space of peace, calm, and compassion, allowing the animal to choose the level of physical connection that feels safe for them.

ā“Why no hands-on?

🐾It honors their agency: We let the animal choose if, when, and how they want to connect.

🌿It removes stress: For many rescue or nervous animals, initiating hands-on contact may feel like a threat. A meditative presence feels like an invitation.

šŸ§Žā€ā™€ļøā€It’s about 'Being,' not 'Doing': When we let go of the need to 'fix' them, the animal can move into a parasympathetic state of rest and digest and relax, supporting their innate ability to heal.

If you’ve ever wanted to help animals but felt like you didn't want to "intrude" on their space, this approach is for you.

Join me in 5 weeks for my Level 1 Let Animals LeadĀ® Class! We’ll spend two days diving into how to build this beautiful, consent-based bond. https://circleofpeace.com/classes

Teaching Animal Reiki is about so much more than a curriculum; it’s about a shared journey of the heart. I am deeply humbled by these words from one of my students. At Circle of Peace, I strive to share the wisdom I’ve gathered over the last 18 years in a way that is sincere, open, and supportive for every student.

Ready to begin your journey? We gather April 19 & 26.

Curious about what happens in a Let Animals LeadĀ® Animal Reiki class?

Our time together is gentle, reflective, and experiential. We spend time learning the foundations of Reiki and also practicing quiet meditations that help us become more present and aware.

From this place of calm presence, we begin offering Reiki to animals while allowing them to guide the experience.

Learning this method provides a wonderful opportunity to deepen your relationship with animals and learn a practice that supports their well-being and your own.

My next Let Animals LeadĀ® Animal Reiki class -- Level 1 -- will be held on April 19 & 26. Our Reiki practice will be with the beloved animals at Rein in a Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship Program--equines, goats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and Helen, the turtle. If you’d like to learn more, please reach out.

Animals naturally live in the present moment. When we offer Reiki to them, they quietly invite us to do the same.

Reiki isn’t something we ā€œdoā€ to an animal. It asks us to slow down, soften our mind and body, breathe, and simply be present.

Often, the most meaningful moments with our animals happen in the quiet spaces — standing together in the barn, sitting beside them in the pasture, or walking down the road.

In these moments, the animal teaches us just as much as we offer them.

We’ll be exploring this in my upcoming Let Animals LeadĀ® Animal Reiki class on April 19 & 26 — learning how to create a calm, respectful healing space where animals are free to guide the experience.

Presence begins with surrender.

In the Let Animals LeadĀ® method of Animal Reiki, we release the need to change, fix, direct, or touch. We kneel, we soften, and we listen.

When an animal chooses to share that space with us, it is an act of trust. Their willingness to simply be — and to allow us to be with them — is deeply humbling.

This is the heart of the practice, and I am grateful each and every time I am invited into that space.

Thank you, JJ. ♄

♄The animals are always our teachers.♄

My work with Animal Reiki and Equine Acupressure begins by listening—honoring each animal’s comfort, choice, and timing, and creating a calm, respectful space where they can feel safe and at ease.

Teaching is an extension of this same approach. The classes I offer invite students to slow down, listen deeply, and learn to support animals in gentle, respectful, animal-led ways.

I look forward to gathering this spring and early summer with those who feel called to learn alongside the animals.šŸ“šŸ‡šŸ“

I’m excited to share my newly refreshed website — a space aligned with the heart of my work with animals and the people who love them. 🌿

I’m deeply grateful to two amazing collaborators who helped bring this project together:

✨ Kerry A. Thompson, my website designer, whose creativity, thoughtful guidance, and partnership made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. She took the time to understand me and my work — even visiting the barn to meet my horse companion, Kawa — and translated that into a website that feels calm, welcoming, and true to my work.♄

✨ Addie of Starlit Images LLC - Equine Photographer, whose beautiful photography perfectly captures the connection between Kawa and me and brings the essence of my work to the website.♄

I invite you to explore the new space here: https://circleofpeace.com

At 31 years young, Lux is a true star at Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program, offering his steady presence and gentle support to the children he serves. He helps them feel safe, understood, capable, and empowered exactly as they are—and, as one staff member shared, he truly loves his job. It is an honor to be able to support his well-being.♄

As a retired therapeutic riding instructor, I’m grateful to Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy for supporting the well-being of the equines working in the Equine Assisted Services field!šŸ™ This is an important reminder on how to approach ALL equines—a principle I share in my Animal Reiki classes and Equine Acupressure Basics class.ā¤ļø

These heartwarming moments showcase the connection between the veterans and equines at the Wild Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Program/Horses for Heroes formed during my Grooming with Gratitude sessions over the past few years. It was such an honor to be in their presence and humbling to witness their connections.♄
