The new 2026 Hypertension guidelines are here… and they’re fine. Mostly a remix of lifestyle advice + slightly new thresholds (and a little too much salt blame).

Some (familiar) highlights:
💢 Stage 1 = ≥130/≥80 mm Hg → lifestyle changes unless higher CVD risk
💊 Stage 2 = ≥140/≥90 mm Hg → start meds (thiazides or ARBs-- best evidence)
