because most people say they ‘commit’ while keeping a safe exit open.

delete the apps you hide in.
cancel the plans that derail you.
move your alarm across the room.
tell everyone what you’re doing so quitting costs you something.
set your environment so the old you can’t survive in it.

burn the boats in real life, not just in your head.
make retreat impossible.
that’s how people actually change.

then they delay starting.
or they start and give up.

if you can remove the option of failure, you always follow through.
if you know exactly what you are aiming for, your motivation has direction.

that’s the idea behind cue.

commit once.
if you can go around 70 days, you could have a completely different set of habits, routines, and results.
