I do an annual Super Bowl post… and heres why….

Super-bowl Sunday will always be more to me than just a football game…

It’s a day that memories come flooding back.. some of the best memories to date!

I had the privilege of cheering for the Pats and being there for a WIN against the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES….

Imagine… being in the middle of Jacksonville stadium … thousands of people screaming and confetti dropping down everywhere after an incredible game and WIN!

Paul McCartney sang at the half time show and my arm hairs were standing straight up - I was in awe with the entire atmosphere! Cheering on the Pats while looking to my left and right and seeing my fellow teammates/cheerleaders beaming with pride as we knew right then and there this would be a moment we would remember forever!

It is the people who I was with that made that moment memorable… It was also a true reminder hard work pays off and I worked my ass off to get there..

So many women come to me after hitting their “goal weight” and still feeling disappointed. They did everything they were told to do:

✔️ Ate less
✔️ Worked out
✔️ Watched the scale drop

But when they looked in the mirror… the energy wasn’t there. Yes they felt smaller but not stronger! They didn’t see that definition or shape that they wanted to see.

That’s because most fitness advice is still stuck in ‘shrink mode’ not strength mode.

I use to try to lose my curves….

Then vs Now: A shift in goals… confidence & strength. The 1st photo is from 2013 during my full-time dance career. I was constantly performing, doing endless cardio and burning an insane amount of calories.

Sure, I looked “thin” but I didn’t feel powerful. I didn’t feel strong in my body. Fast forward to now, I no longer chase “skinny.” I train for strength, shape and confidence. I fuel my body with intention.

This shift didn’t just change my body, it changed how I show up in every area of life. If you’ve ever looked back at old photos and thought OMG I was so much smaller than and instantly feel defeated.. save this post. Smaller isn’t always the goal, but strength and confidence is!

You’re not crazy for wanting more than just weight loss. You’re allowed to want curves, muscle and a body that feels strong 💪🏼

Put the chicken and rice down... food for fat loss doesn’t have to be boring or the same thing day in day out.

You also don’t have to prep and spend hours in the kitchen. Life is soooo busy and fast paced and I get it you’re struggling to prep, cook & have everything planned out every single week.

I’ve worked with so many people who come to me thinking everything needs to be overcomplicated… It can be simple… I do not spend a ton of time cooking.. at all!
Here is a day of food in my life while in a fat loss phase:

Breakfast - 2 eggs scrambled over sourdough, 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, spinach and baby tomatoes. Depending on the day I’ll thro in some egg whites too and YES you can add butter to the toast 😜

Lunch - Salmon, sweet potato and green beans.
TIP: ( For years.. I have been getting the whole foods family “ready to go” meals and split them into several meals for lunch or dinner for myself … game changer

Dinner - Steak tips, veggies and salad. So simple and quick and easy to make.

Snacks - Shake - I love the shake I’ve mentioned on the post...give it a try! Either make a shake, pick one up or buy some pre made shakes to have in the fridge if you’re looking to save some time.( I like the Premier pre made shakes for when I am in a pinch)

Snacks - You all know I love a snack box ( ) When I make these I like to make sure I have sources of protein, fat and carbs in there. Take a look at the one on the post for an idea. Have fun and choose foods you actually enjoy grazing on!

These are obviously for what suits me and my goals but I’m just trying to show you that you can make it work without spending hours on food prep/cooking.

I see you..You want to drop the weight and melt the fat, but unsure where to put your focus…..START HERE⬇️

1️⃣ HYDRATE! Hydration is HUGE when it comes to weight loss. I know I sound like a broken record, but water is MAJOR for dropping that extra weight. You need to hydrate!
- When you are hydrated properly, you lose the water weight your body is holding onto for dear life.
👊🏼I aim for a gallon of water a day, but if that feels too much for you try to get in half your body weight in fluid ounces each day! (You weight 200 lbs try to get in 100 ounces of water daily)

2️⃣ TRACK YO SH*T: Keeping a food journal or tracking in a fitness app is SO helpful (something like My Fitness Pal.. of even the Fox Fit app)
Tracking food when you’re trying to lose weight or hit a specific physique goal is a total game changer. Aimlessly eating will lead to frustration and only take you further from your goals. The good news is you learn A LOT. It can be fun and SUPER interesting learning what ingredients are in what and what has crazy amounts of calories, and what has lots of good protein fats, and carbs! Good news is once you’re on a roll and understanding whats in what you can step back from this and continue to crush!

When you’re eating nourishing foods, you’ll be shocked at how much food you can actually eat when you’re tracking! You won’t be hungry and you won’t be bored if you’re willing to experiment in the kitchen with some whole food goodness 🙂


3️⃣ MOVE YOUR BODY:
Strength / weight training is hands-down one of the most powerful things you can do for your body. It helps you burn body fat, build lean muscle, and completely change how your body looks and feels. You’ll get stronger, more confident, and notice your clothes fitting better than ever.

FUN FACT - the more muscle you have on your body the faster your metabolism is🔥

I realized I had to get control back but how?

How do you snap out of a rut when you feel like nothing is working or you just end up in the same place again? Here are 2 things you need to get in check 👇🏼

1️⃣ MINDSET - This is absolutely EVERYTHING! Change the way you are thinking & the way you are speaking to yourself...the negative self talk needs to be swapped out immediately!

👉🏼Little tip... switch the way you’re phrasing things. For example, CHANGE “I feel like s**t, I look like s**t but can’t work out because I just can’t bring myself to do it so I’ll stay on the couch instead” TO “I’m pumped to work out and move today...pumped to get my energy levels back up and my health back so I can THRIVE and feel sexy and confident AF because I deserve that”.

2️⃣ MOMENTUM - When you’re in a rut a little momentum is all it takes. I’m not saying it will be easy but all you need is a tiny bit of movement. You have to FORCE yourself to get up and move.. even if it a simple 10 min walk.. do something to build momentum!

🫶🏼 I PROMISE if you can force some movement every day for a week you WILL feel better for it, you’ll start to see results. Keep going until you feel a change, once you feel that change YOU WILL NOT WANT TO STOP!
