Upper back tightness? Here are two exercises I would absolutely never recommend… unless you actually want to feel better 😏

Banded thread the needle
It might help you access rotation you did not even realize you were missing. Go slow, control the movement, and do not force it.

Eccentric chest press with rotation
This one builds strength while improving mobility and scapular control at the same time. Annoying how effective that is, right? 💪

Sometimes tightness is not just about needing a stretch. It is about teaching your upper back and shoulders to move and control load properly.

Just had ACL surgery and wondering what comes next? 👀

Here are a few knee exercises we commonly recommend as you progress through rehab.

For beginners, squats are a staple. They rebuild quad strength and help you get confident with everyday movements again. Split squats are another great option to build strength and balance in your surgical leg without overloading it too soon.

As you get stronger, we level things up. Elevated heel squats help strengthen your knee through a deeper, controlled range. Bulgarian split squats challenge stability, strength, and control to prepare you for higher level activity and sport. 💪

The key is not rushing it. It is about progressing at the right time with the right form.

Quality Care Physical Therapy was founded in September of 2001, by John Monahan, PT, DPT. We are a locally owned and operated outpatient physical therapy clinic that has been servicing the greater Eastside since 2001. We have been awarded with the Best of Physical Therapy and Customer Service for the Northshore area, which encompasses Bothell, Woodinville, Kirkland and Kenmore. We look forward to meeting you and becoming your family’s physical therapy office!
