POV: Your back isn’t the problem. Your hips might be.

When your hips are stiff or limited, your body still has to move somehow.

So instead of the motion coming from the hips, your lower back picks up the slack.

Over time, that extra work can leave your back feeling tight, overloaded, or achy — even though nothing is “wrong” with it.

This exercise helps restore hip mobility so movement goes where it’s supposed to.

When your hips move better, your back doesn’t have to compensate as much, and everything feels smoother and easier.

Small changes in hip mobility can make a big difference in how your back feels throughout the day.

Quality Care Physical Therapy was founded in September of 2001, by John Monahan, PT, DPT. We are a locally owned and operated outpatient physical therapy clinic that has been servicing the greater Eastside since 2001. We have been awarded with the Best of Physical Therapy and Customer Service for the Northshore area, which encompasses Bothell, Woodinville, Kirkland and Kenmore. We look forward to meeting you and becoming your family’s physical therapy office!
