My next one-hour, 1 CE online training on April 3rd dives into a challenge many therapists and other mental health providers face: what to do when the usual executive function tools just aren't working.
Often, we treat EF as a logistical hurdle, but when a client meets those practical tools with resistance, the skills-based approach usually falls apart. In this session, we’ll shift the focus from compliance to collaboration, exploring how executive dysfunction is often a protective emotional response rather than a lack of willpower.
Workshop Details:
Date: Friday, April 3rd, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM MT
Cost: $27 General Track | $42 CE Track
Where: Online via zoom
This session is a follow-up to my foundational training, Executive Functioning Therapy: From Core Concepts to Advanced Strategies. While I’ll do a brief recap of the core concepts, I highly recommend watching the first session (linked below) to get the full context of the 3-step model (Shame -> Mindfulness -> Skillfulness) we’ll be building upon.
In the live training on April 3rd, we’ll cover:
-The Anatomy of Resistance: Understanding EF struggles as emotional protection.
-Bridging the Gap: Techniques to move clients from "can't" to "can."
-The "Why" as a Roadmap: Using resistance to identify specific relational connection and EF needs.
If you’re tired of the "tug-of-war" with complex cases and want a more empathic, effective way to support your neurodivergent clients, I’d love to see you there.
