November 20th - Kindness to the Body

Perfecting Scripture: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you?” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20)

Perfecting Devotion:
Our bodies are sacred spaces where the Spirit of God dwells. To be kind to the body is to honor the temple that houses His presence. Many of us pour out for others but forget that neglecting our health dishonors the gift of life God has given.

Kindness to the body is not vanity; it is stewardship. It includes rest, healthy habits, and gratitude for the ability to move, breathe, and live. When we care for our bodies, we increase our capacity to serve and love others. The Holy Spirit works through our wholeness, not our exhaustion. Treating our bodies with care is worship.

Perfecting Thought: Caring for my body honors the God who created it.

Perfecting Prayer:
Lord, thank You for this body You have given me. Help me to treat it with respect and discipline. Strengthen me to make choices that bring health, not harm. Let my body, mind, and spirit work together as a living temple of Your glory.

Perfecting Reflection Question: What small change can I make today to honor God through caring for my body?

Battling fear and choosing faith this Monday. It's tough, but I'm sharing this raw message—no edits, no filters—hoping it resonates. Remember, faith and fear can't lead together. If God placed it on your heart, He'll see you through. Guiding me towards purpose and peace.

November 19th - Rest as Kindness

Perfecting Scripture:
“Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, He said to them, ‘Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.’” (Mark 6:31)

Perfecting Devotion:
Even Jesus rested. In the middle of ministry demands, He called His disciples away from the noise to recover. Rest is not laziness; it is kindness to the body and soul. We cannot pour from empty vessels. God designed rest as a rhythm of renewal, reminding us that we are not defined by our productivity but by His presence.

Neglecting rest can make us irritable, impatient, and unkind. When we take time to breathe, pray, and recharge, we make space for peace to return. Rest is a spiritual act of trust that says, “God, I can stop because You never do.” It is choosing balance over burnout and health over hurry.

Perfecting Thought: Rest is an act of kindness to the body and a sign of trust in God.

Perfecting Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of rest. Teach me to honor the limits You designed for my body and spirit. Help me to slow down long enough to hear Your voice again. Let my rest restore the strength I need to serve You with joy.

Perfecting Reflection Question: How can I show kindness to myself through rest and renewal this week?

November 18th - Feeding the Hungry

Perfecting Scripture: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.” (Matthew 25:35–36)

Perfecting Devotion:
Jesus connected kindness with feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and visiting the lonely. These acts are not symbolic—they are sacred. When we meet physical needs, we are ministering directly to Christ Himself. He made it clear that compassion toward people is compassion toward Him.

Feeding the hungry is more than giving food; it is restoring dignity. It is telling someone, “You matter to God.” Our kindness can remind others that they are seen and valued. Each meal served and each hand extended carries spiritual weight. Through kindness, we become living expressions of divine provision.

Perfecting Thought: When I feed others, I am feeding the heart of Christ.

Perfecting Prayer:
Lord, make me sensitive to the needs of those around me. Use my hands, my kitchen, and my resources to bless those who are struggling. Remind me that every act of compassion toward others is an offering to You. Let my kindness bring nourishment to both body and soul.

Perfecting Reflection Question: Who can I bless with physical or emotional nourishment this week?

November 17th -Kindness in Stewardship

Perfecting Scripture: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” (Luke 16:10)

Perfecting Devotion:
Kindness shows up in how we manage what God has given us. Stewardship is not just financial; it is spiritual. Every resource, opportunity, and relationship we hold is a trust from God. When we handle these with care and integrity, we practice kindness toward others and ourselves.

Poor stewardship can create harm that ripples through families, ministries, and communities. Faithful stewardship, on the other hand, brings peace and provision. Kindness in stewardship means making wise choices that bless others, paying attention to details, and managing resources in a way that honors God. It is understanding that everything we hold belongs to Him.

Perfecting Thought: Faithful stewardship is kindness expressed through responsibility.

Perfecting Prayer:
Lord, help me to be a wise steward of all You have entrusted to me. Teach me to manage resources with discipline and generosity. Let my choices bring blessing and stability to those around me. May my stewardship reflect Your order and kindness in every area of my life.

Perfecting Reflection Question: How can I manage what God has given me with more care and purpose?

Prince said money doesn't matter. What truly matters is presence and desire. May generosity build a kingdom and multiply for scholars and the care closet at Hillcrest Heights.

Buying Christmas gifts and then borrowing money for the light bill? It just doesn't make sense. Kids appreciate the lights, because without them, no PlayStation! Let's be real stewards this holiday season.

Let's dive deep into Eastern vs. Western Christianity. Some things we demonize? They're ancestral practices twisted by colonizers who couldn't shape the narrative. Our Christianity predates slavery. We were believers in Africa. We knew Africa.
