Because of you, every beat truly counted at Dance Big Red 2026.

Thank you to every single person who donated, danced, attended, volunteered, and sponsored this year’s marathon. Your support made it possible for our WKU community to come together and raise $141,555.32 for Norton Children’s Hospital’s child cardiology and adolescent care units.

We are endlessly grateful for each person who helped make this night so special. Together, we continue to show that when our community comes together, Every Beat Counts. ❤️

Bowling Green community members, friends, and family, join us for Dance Big Red’s Community Hour on March 6th from 7:00-8:00 p.m.!

Come see what Dance Big Red is all about and support our dancers as they raise money for Norton Children’s Hospital! Please bring an ID and your wallet.

Individuals under 18 are welcome to attend accompanied by an adult. There is no cost to attend, but donations will be accepted and encouraged at this time if you are able. We can’t wait to see everyone there!🤗❤️

Thursday night, Dance Big Red had the opportunity to highlight one of our Superhero Families alongside Norton Children’s Hospital! Learn more about her story:

“Lainey is a joyful one-and-a-half-year-old from right here in Bowling Green. Lainey was born with a genetic condition, Trisomy 21 and a heart defect that required surgery at five weeks old. She underwent open heart surgery at Norton Children’s Heart Institute.

Today, Lainey continues to thrive thanks to God and the care from her team of cardiologists, specialists and therapists with Norton Children’s. Lainey is strong and resilient. She has a love for people, dancing and playing with her family, especially her two older sisters. Her family loves watching her excitement for life daily.

Joining Lainey and her family is Dr. Lucinda Thurman Wright, a Pediatric Cardiologist with Norton Children’s Heart Institute who provides care at Norton Children’s Outpatient Center in Bowling Green.”

Dance Big Red is a 12 hour dance fundraising event held at WKU benefitting the Children's Hospital Foundation, a non-profit whose sole purpose is to raise money for Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville!
