Remember the red-light pad I used across the low back in my last video?
Here’s the reason I always love working that area.

Those nerves you see—sciatic, gluteal, femoral—branch straight from the lumbosacral plexus and run all the way down to the stifle and hock. When we support this zone, we’re supporting everything below it!

When we use red light or Equiscope therapy over this area, we’re restoring the communication lines that power the entire hind end—stimulating cellular repair, balance, and freedom of movement 🤌🏼

✨ Follow-up on the Red Light Poll Cap ✨

There aren’t “foal sizes,” but if you’re working with a smaller head, a tendon wrap works perfectly as a substitute!

For EPM horses, the poll cap can make a huge difference. EPM affects the central nervous system, meaning the parasite causes inflammation around the brainstem and spinal cord — that’s where the nerves that control balance, coordination, swallowing, and even gut motility all begin. When those nerves are irritated, the messages between the brain and body get fuzzy — which is why EPM horses often look weak, uncoordinated, or disconnected.

Red light therapy at the poll helps calm that inflammation, improve blood and lymph flow to the brainstem, and re-energize those cranial nerve pathways. You’re essentially helping the brain and body “talk” to each other again — which is why so many horses start to relax, focus, and move more evenly after just a few sessions.

Why Balancing the Body Matters in Injury Recovery

When rehabbing injuries, it’s natural to focus on the muscle, tendon, or joint itself. But Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches us that true healing begins with the balance of the organ systems.
✨Spleen Qi supports digestion, nutrient absorption, and muscle health.
✨Liver Qi governs smooth energy flow and nourishes tendons and ligaments.
✨Kidneys are tied to bone strength, stamina, and regeneration.

If these systems are imbalanced, injuries may linger, circulation slows, and tissues struggle to fully recover.

This is where the Equiscope shines. By delivering intelligent microcurrent therapy, it not only reduces pain and inflammation locally but also helps the body rebalance energetically—creating an ideal internal environment for repair.

The result? More complete healing, stronger tissues, and improved overall wellness.

Whether you’re rehabbing an injury or simply seeking more balance, Equiscope therapy provides a powerful, non-invasive way to restore harmony and speed recovery.

⚡ And remember: choosing a knowledgeable technician is key. The order and method of applying the Equiscope makes all the difference. A skilled practitioner understands how to balance the meridian systems alongside the injury site—ensuring deeper, more complete healing that lasts.
