5 weeks. Real rehabilitation.
This is what happens when you stop chasing isolated issues and start addressing the nervous system and compensation patterns together.
Every program is individualized. I pull from a toolbox that includes the Equiscope, skilled hands-on palpation and bodywork, Revitavet red light, laser, ozone, and targeted exercise, applying each when and where it’s appropriate for that horse on that day.
Exercise is not just movement for movement’s sake like a free walker — I use it to strategically to challenge the body AND the mind, restore correct firing patterns, and reinforce what we address in treatment.
Workload, past injury, inflammation, and mental stress all create compensatory patterns. When those patterns go unrecognized, the nervous system stays in a protective state, certain muscles stay overactive, others shut down, and true development becomes impossible.
My job is to find those compensation patterns, address them appropriately, and restore clearer communication through the body. When the nervous system feels supported and no longer needs to guard, inflammation comes down, movement improves, and the horse can finally rebuild and recomp correctly — not just hold muscle through tension.
This work isn’t only for horses coming back from surgery or those that are visibly 4/5 lame. Many horses are performing well while quietly compensating, leaving strength, soundness, and longevity on the table.
Your horse may have far more potential than you’ve tapped into — we just need to rebuild the foundation ☺️
