Have anyone else done meal planning and prep while quarantine at home? 👩🍳 I have! 🥰
This is a great time to master meal planning and prepping! 👩🎓👨🎓
Most of us, now, have the time without rushing for work or school, plus minimizing trips to the grocery store is a smart thing to do right now. Also, instead of cooking every day you'll have full meals ready to eat for couple of days. That, will give you more time to workout, meditate, play with the kids or just watch TV.
Here are some tips:
1-Plan your meals using one ingredients in different ways.
Example: Kale (Salad, Juice and Scramble with Eggs) Focus on repurposing instead of adding more and more. One ingredients, different ways! 🥗🧃🍲
2-Prepare your grocery shipping list.
Go through each meal and write down the ingredient needed and the amount (you can use an app)📝
3-Go grocery shopping.
Use all the advised precautions and don't go overboard cleaning your veggies and don't use disinfectant on them. Remember if you spray them with disinfectant you'll eat disinfectant.🛒
4-Fun Time, Cooking Time
Pick the day of the week that best works for you and/or your family. If you have a household full of people involve everyone, assign someone to help you chop, wash the dishes and store the food. You don't have to do it all. 👩🍳🍛 I don't mind doing it all, so is up to you!
You'll see how much time you have to do other things and less stress thinking what to prepare for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The more you meal plan and prep, the easier it gets. When you get back to work, you'll have a new skill that will help ease into the daily routine. And don't forget anything you do, do it with love! 📝🥗👩🍳🍳🙏🥰🙏
