We are so excited to announce that we will be at the Bozeman Farmers Market at Lindley Park, tomorrow July 30th, from 5-8pm! Be sure to stop by our booth to spin our Giant Wheel and win a prize! Prizes range from candy and stickers, to gift cards to your favorite local spots such as Mackenzie river, Bagelworks, Tropical Sno, Sidewall, and so much more! You could even win a Tee time at one of our local golf courses, a free golf lesson, or a 4-person half-day rafting trip with MWW! We will have a donation box set up and all funds will go directly to our scholarship fund.

Todays the Day! The Gallatin Valley Give Big Fundraiser runs today May 2nd from 6pm to 6pm on May 3rd. Today we wanted to share a testimonial from our parternship with the BienVenidos Nordic Skiing program that allowed us to support several students at once!

"This past winter, we were incredibly grateful to have Potential MT sponsor the full cost for eleven first-generation Montanans to begin learning cross-country ski skills!

The program is a collaboration between nonprofits Potential MT, Bienvenidos a Gallatin Valley, and the Bridger Ski Foundation. For eight weeks throughout the winter season, program participants are picked up from their school by volunteers, driven to practice, provided with free equipment and coaching, and then dropped off at their homes.

While many of our Bienvenidos program participants have never seen winter before, none had ever stepped on skis before the 2023 Season! And while introducing students to a new sport is exciting, empowering, and important, we believe that offering this opportunity in conjunction with a space to engage in active, healthy lifestyles, build new friendships, and develop life skills such as cooperation, personal responsibility, and community is what make this program so special.

Thank you for choosing to join us in this mission--our coaches, partners, and especially our kiddos are grateful!"

Having the ability to participate in gymnastics has been crucial for several of our scholarship recipients!

After facing financial hardships at home due to unexpected medical expenses, a Potential child and their family feared that continuing gymnastics would be out of the picture. Thanks to the emergency fund, Potential was able to support this family and aid the child in continuing gymnastics regularly. This child continues to grow her love and passion for gymnastics while developing strong leadership and communication skills and most importantly HAVING FUN!

As Giving Day approaches here in the Gallatin Valley, May 2nd-May3rd, we thought we would share some our past scholarship recipients stories!

After the loss of a close family member, one Potential family knew it was crucial for their child to continue playing basketball. Basketball provided this child a sense of community during an incredibly difficult time and encouraged them to continue building friendships while supporting their overall health and well being. However, while having to move forward with life and support their own family, they simultaneously had to plan a funeral, presenting this family with not only financial hardships but also an overwhelming amount of tasks to complete. This is where Potential was able to step in and support this child in continuing Basketball, allowing the child to have a successful and fun basketball season!

Potential is participating in Give Big again this year and it is just around the corner from May 2nd-3rd!

To date Potential has awarded 32 scholarships totaling over $18,000 split across sports such as gymnastics, soccer, lacrosse, Nordic skiing, and many more. Our goal in the upcoming year is to grow even more and support double the number of families and children!

Your donation could:
- provide a full year of swim lessons for a child ($500)
- provide half a school year of gymnastics lessons ($250)
- provide a child with a sports camp experience ($100)
- boost the emergency fund to help families during times of hardship ($50)

Our goal for Give Big this year is to raise $10,000. If you or someone you know has been positively impacted by sports, please support Potential by donating and sharing this post.

Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about Potential for Give Big this year! It was our first fundraiser and raised over $2,700 which will go a long way to helping kids through sports.
