Please keep Michael Abbott, Notre Dame Vice President of Mission Effectiveness, in your prayers. Michael is a long standing faculty member serving as a religious studies teacher, campus minister, and member of the school leadership team. Michael is married to Lucy Abbott, chairperson of the Notre Dame English Department.
Michael has recently been diagnosed with end stage chronic kidney disease and is in need of a kidney transplant. Receiving a kidney transplant from a living donor is the preferred course of action. However, finding a kidney for a transplant is not easy.
