Running these second semester students through their clinicals! ALL of our instructors at The IOM Academy are board certified in Intraoperative neurophysiology (CNIM) with years of experience. And, by the way, they STILL work in surgery on a routine basis! So there’s no concern that the field has passed them by. Our big give for Christmas looked a little different this year with no contact but it was still filled with love and joy. Every year NDC partners with the Aero group to provide the Christmas gifts for very deserving children at Calvary Children’s Home. Above that, many other donors come alongside of us to provide gift cards used by the house parents throughout the year to buy clothing, celebrate birthdays, enjoy meals out or have recreation days for the kids. With it being a difficult year for many, NDC made the decision to not ask for outside donations. With that being said, we are so THANKFUL to those that felt compelled to give and did so as their hearts led them, including our NDC staff. You know who you are and you know I love you! Beautiful personalized towels, bath caddies, shave kits, candy baskets and gift cards that WILL make a difference in the new year ahead. The giving spirit is alive and well within so many and it is truly a gift of its own. NDC is thankful for the opportunity to serve and invest in the lives of these beautiful children. Each year we greatly anticipate the smiles created from the knowing that there is more in these packages than mere material possessions. NDC loves the Calvary kids! 💝

Annual employee appreciation Christmas weekend. In a year of chaos, we have much to celebrate with our work family. We are especially happy to celebrate the 5 years of loyal service from Benton and Johnathan. We are indebted to the weekly efforts of all of the great individuals that make up our NDC team. Their diligence has unlocked the time necessary for the creation and implementation of NDC’s IOM Academy, a culmination of experience and knowledge compiled in a platform to help elevate our field. We are thankful to the surgeons that trust us with their patients and it is never lost on us that we are there by special invitation by them. We are grateful for the relationships made and kept through the work we perform. Working in Healthcare is a privilege and honor, and we are full of gratitude that we GET to do this great work. We are absolute in our appreciation for each of our employees that choose to work for us and stay with us in a world where the next best thing is right around the corner. I end with this quote by Martin Luther King, Jr. : “If a man is called a street sweeper, he should sweep streets as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well. “

NDC’s education program, The IOM Academy, has just received programmatic approval by ABRET as a formal education pathway to CNIM eligibility!!! It is one of only FIVE approved programs in Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring. Our passion has always been education and this recognition allows us to reach so many who may otherwise be in the unenviable position of working in surgery with improper, incomplete, and inadequate training.

The GREATEST thing about having a successful business is being able to give back! We recently had a great night at Chef Henry Chandler’s Liverversary Celebration and fund raiser for the Georgia Transplant Foundation! We were proud to be Gold Sponsors once again! Nearly 100k was raised to support transplant patients and the associated costs of these life giving services.
