I have been reading Tarot cards for about 20 years. To me, Tarot is a language and a reading is a puzzle to figure out. Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 12/29/25:

Happy holidays to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on the Minchiate al Cigno- a Tarot deck from Bologna, 1775. I have always been drawn to the old traditional Tarot decks, though they are challenging (or perhaps Because they are challenging.) This one is not an easy one to follow. The order is not familiar. The 12 zodiac signs and the Virtues are added. This is a 97 card Tarot deck, and takes some work to understand. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. This one is for someone who feels like they are lost, floating, and not sure of what to do. Read on- see if it's for you or someone that you know.

This is a subscription box for the person who wants to sharpen their skills of Witchery. Each month will focus on one of the essential skills of the Witch. Your box will contain instructions for spells, rituals, practices and tools to help you to develop the skill of the month. Witchcraft is a Craft- and this is a box that will help you to develop skills and build on them.
This is a box that is appropriate for all levels from novice to experienced, you will find new practices and ways. Wondering what will happen in 2026?

A New Year's Reading is an hour long Tarot card reading (on Zoom, Facetime, phone, or in person) that looks at every month of 2026 so that you will know what to prepare for. I find that sometimes, the cards are predictive- they tell you what will happen that month. Other times, the cards take on a suggestive tone, giving you ideas for the best way to approach the month. The reading looks at each individual month, and then has a Tarot card in the center that represents the year in its entirety.

There are a lot of people who get this reading every year and find it to be a good way to navigate the year ahead. I never miss a year for myself- I have found that the readings give me everything from advice to insights that I need for each coming month.

Hello to the friends of Iris X Readings! I hope you are all holding up in this busy season. December can be hard. Inwardly, we are pulled to quiet. It's dark and cold, and it makes most of us want to stay home and warm by the wood stove. It is a quiet and reflective time of the year. But- December doesn't know that. It is a busy month. We are pulled out into parties and social activities of all kinds. At the time of the year when our instincts would tell us to be quiet and reflect on the year passing in the darkest month- we are pulled into the light. For some- maybe that's a good thing. But I suspect that a lot of people feel tired and over done. And I can see it in this reading. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will read this post. It's been a busy week over here, and it's finally my weekend (monday and tuesday!) I have a tendency to give people multiple Tarot deck options when I am at events. The Wayfarer Tarot (created by Margaret Shipman and me) is my Go-To Tarot deck. Every reader has one of those. Pending Readings and Sponsored Classes:

A few months ago, I put out a request for pending readings; readings that are paid in advance for someone who needs it. My friends came through and supported 15 people to get Tarot card readings as well as 12 people to sponsored classes. People were able to request a pending reading with no questions asked. I was told by people that the readings made their day and gave them hope. Others told me about how much better they felt after, or how they had clarity to know what to do next. But Every one of them told me that it made a big difference to be sponsored by someone that they didn't know. I wasn't public about it. I didn't announce who donated or who used a sponsored reading. It was quiet and impactful and helped some people make needed changes in their lives. I had someone say- 'you couldn't possibly have any idea how important this is to me right now.' We never know what is happening for people, and so- I never asked a question. I just gave the readings and classes away to those who needed it.

I am now down to my last sponsored reading, so I am putting this out again to my community. There are so many ways to help people right now. Please reach out in as many ways as you can.
