The Brick Twp. Fire Department and Police Department deserve a special commendation for their prompt response during the nighttime hours.
Around 2am, our advanced fire and smoke alarm system detected smoke at our Burnt Tavern Road location. One of our several attic furnaces experienced an electrical malfunction, causing excessive heat and smoke that triggered the alarm. Within minutes, the dedicated members of the fire and police departments arrived and identified the source.
Thankfully, the furnace encasement functioned as intended, containing any potential damage.
The first key takeaway from this incident is the exceptional service provided by our police and fire departments.
The second takeaway is the importance of regular maintenance and servicing of our systems. Had our HVAC technicians not frequently evaluated and improved our system, this situation could have had a far more severe outcome.
