2025 was a big year for HIA and we are thankful we had the opportunity to gather in person one more time before the holidays. During our December meeting, we had the privilege of being joined by a transportation access panel that included The Kennedy Collective, Connecticut Department of Transportation, GBT - Greater Bridgeport Transit, and Milford Transit District. We recognize that access to reliable, safe and affordable transportation impacts access to health care and community resources, and we hope to continue learning together how we can help improve these services for our communities.

Our partners at Alliance for Community Empowerment are collaborating with local workforce and higher education professionals to assist SNAP recipients on getting connected to opportunities to complete their SNAP "basic work rules." Come explore and get connected to work, training, volunteering, and educational opportunities on Monday, December 1, from 9:00 AM to 5 :00 PM at 1070 Park Ave in Bridgeport.
