The overuse of antibiotics in humans and animals today means un-treatable infections tomorrow. Prescribing antibiotics “just-in-case” there is an infection creates superbugs that are resistance to every antibiotic available. Dr. Debbie Goff, pharmacist, global antibiotic steward and advocate of responsible antibiotic use shares how everyone (ie) consumers, patients, and healthcare providers can become an antibiotic steward today. Our children’s children depend on getting everyone engaged in antibiotic stewardship.
