Have you ever wondered why I prefer starting you face up for a massage? This is why…
Little things make a BIG difference. Understanding fluid flow routes and pipes is one of those things.

Supply chain logistics or how the body works in healing. Blood flow in. Blood flow out.

You can have a blood flow issue far removed from where your pain is that impacts your ability to heal. Why? You are a closed container. All pipes connect.

Where you release first is a huge deal in how the body reacts to therapy. From a nervous system fight or flight standpoint and how fluids move based on your pressure changing flow.
Like an Uber big deal.

💧 HYDRATION: Ensure adequate fluids before, during, and after your sauna session

💧 ELECTROLYTES: Replace electrolytes and minerals pre, during & post sauna sesh (faves in bio)

💧SWEAT ASSIST: If you have trouble sweating, try some freshly brewed ginger tea with fresh squeezed lemon—not only will it elevate core temperature, but ginger is also a diaphoretic and has a hyperthermic response, so encourages perspiration

💧TOWEL OFF: Have a towel ready to swipe off sweat (toxins) as you go and be sure to take a binder to prevent their recirculation + deposition. Shower immediately after for the same reason! 🚿

💧 GO EASY: Start LOW (temp, duration) and build up SLOWLY. I started a decade ago at 90 degrees for 5 minutes and gradually increased my tolerance from there.

If you had a special holiday meal yesterday, you might be feeling pressure to restrict your eating today.

This is my annual reminder that you don’t need to compensate for your holiday eating, today or any day.

You don’t need to “cleanse” or “make up” for anything.

You don’t need to “work off” the food you ate yesterday.

Your body is well equipped to handle holiday meals—and in fact it’s often the case that the more you try to compensate for what you’ve eaten, the worse your relationship with food tends to become.

(That’s true for people all across the weight spectrum, although the pressure to compensate for your eating is often more intense at higher weights because of weight stigma.)

So this holiday season, I’m wishing you more permission and less punishment, more joy and less guilt, and more in-the-moment eating and less compensatory thinking.

Because you deserve peace, pleasure, and unconditional permission to eat, at the holidays and beyond.

REAL FRICKEN TALK ABOUT ‘HEALTH AND WELLNESS’
If my clients all live in a stress-free world…. they’ll have no problem getting results. But that’s not real life.

Because if you’re going through a stressful time, and you’re doing grueling workouts, you’re compounding the stress … Not taking away from it 

Because poor sleep, overwhelming stress, and inadequate recovery are often the REAL reasons people struggle to make healthy lifestyle changes.

Each of these factors negatively affects everything from a person’s mood and energy levels, to their mental and emotional well-being, to their relationships and decision-making ability.

And with all that working against them?

Adopting healthy habits is nearly impossible.

In fact, more and more people are relying on “unhealthy habits”—overeating, exercising less, consuming more alcohol—in order to cope with their high-stress lives.

And, as a consequence, mental and physical health is on a continuing decline for many people.

That’s where I come in.

I have the knowledge, tools, and skills to help anyone overcome their biggest barriers to eating better, moving more, and feeling deep pride in their health and fitness.
