Dr. Ros Burton-Robertson is an energetic, life-loving woman who loves to encourage others to maximize their full potential. Dr. Ros firmly believes God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans that I have for you…,” and she desires to help others believe and apply that truth to their lives.
Dr. Ros is a gifted pastor, preacher, professor, mother, life coach, psychologist, entrepreneur, successful business women and prolific conference speaker. As a trained psychotherapist and certified pastoral counselor, Dr. Ros believes there are two basic principles in therapy, to engage the client and challenge the client; she believes a person's spirit, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interconnect to form personal wholeness.
Dr. Ros’s earned degrees and academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, from Bernard M. Baruch College, Master of Science in Education with a Specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling from Thomas H. Hunter College, both City Universities of New York; advanced theory and practice counseling at New York University; Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary; Doctor of Psychology from Harris University; Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary; and currently a Doctor of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration candidate (2018), at Northcentral University. Dr. Ros is an Advisory Board Member, Veterans Rowing & Kayaking, Inc., New Haven, CT; Commissioner for the Health Services Board of Commissions, City of Stamford, CT; a Voting Member, American Psychological Association, Division 49, Society for Group Psychology & Psychotherapy; American Psychological Association, Division 17, Society of Counseling Psychology Committee Reviewer; and candidate for the American College of Healthcare Executives Fellow. Licensed as a Minister on February 9, 2009, ordained Elder on October 30, 2016 by Apostle Elizabeth A. Dukes, Chief Prelate Rose of Sharon Fellowship Churches, Inc. Trusting and believing God for what could not be seen in the natural, Dr. Ros opened the church doors of A Place of Worship Center on Sunday, January 7, 2018, as Pastor, and her spiritual mother Apostle Elizabeth Dukes as Overseer.
In January 2018 she founded Dr. Ros Inc., through which she authored and self-published four books, “Proverbs 31 Woman In Progress,” “Power & Purpose of a Woman: Women's Devotions to Inspire & Change,” “Endow Me: An Analysis of Psychology, Theology and Spirituality in the Christian Faith,” and “Pastoral Care & Counseling: Ministry in Contemporary Society”. Dr. Ros is currently writing her fifth book, “Lady in Waiting,” book release Spring 2019.
