I am proud to introduce a new member of our team.
Jawad N. Kassem, M.D., MPH.
Dr. Kassem received his Master’s degree in Public Health from UMDNJ and completed his medical degree from St. George’s University. Following his residency in emergency medicine at Upstate Medical University, he completed fellowship training in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kassem received additional training in advanced wound care modalities and is a certified Dive Medical Officer. He is past-chairman of the Emergency Medicine Residency Association’s health policy committee and maintains an active interest in health policy as well as in emergency and hyperbaric medicine research and education. Dr. Kassem will work alongside the hyperbaric team and myself. We will continue attending to your patient’s clinical hyperbaric and wound care needs while receiving the best of care.

Last evening Emergency Medical Providers were treated to an educational program by Dr. O'Neill. "Tackling the Silent Killer, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning" was both enlightening and informative. Great lecture Dr. O'Neill.

I have to say this was a great team effort... from the Fire and Police on the scene, EMS, Nyack Hospital Emergency, Phelps Memorial Hospital Emergency, and of course my Hyperbaric Team...one of the best in the country!
