Our biannual Trash Bash & Recycling Rally is upcoming on April 11, 2026 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM at 1700 W Detroit Street!

Come drop off your hard-to-recycle items such as tires, e-waste, medical sharps, batteries, cardboard, medications, and more!
As always, we will be offering on-site paper shredding services!

On Friday, January 23, trash and recycling will be collected together in one route and taken to the landfill. One route, instead of two separate routes, provides crews more time to complete Friday's service before the winter weather hits the area. Bags of trash placed outside the carts will not be picked up. If you prefer that your recyclables do not go to the landfill, please do not set out your blue recycling cart.

On Monday, January 26, trash and recycling services will be suspended out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our employees. Services will slide to the following day this week. Monday service to Tuesday. Tuesday service to Wednesday. Wednesday service to Thursday. Thursday service to Friday. Due to the frigid temperatures and the anticipation of the residential roadways being snow packed, we will again run only one route to collect both trash and recycling together. Again, if you do not want your recyclables to go to the landfill, please do not set out your blue recycling cart. Bags of trash placed outside the carts will not be picked up.

We understand these changes are not ideal, but we appreciate your understanding as we do our very best to provide you with uninterrupted service and ensure our Solid Waste and Recycling employees can safely perform the duties of their job during this upcoming winter weather storm.

This past month we hit the exciting milestone of providing outstanding refuse service to over 40,000 customers! It has been amazing to see how much our program has evolved since adding recycling to our curbside collection programming, and with the support and approval of the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority, we’ve purchased new Automated Side Load Vehicles that have been instrumental in improving our operations to meet our customers’ needs.

This Saturday is our Trash Bash & Recycling Rally from 8:00AM to 12:00PM at 1700 West Detroit Street! Please bring any hard-to-recycle items that might be taking up space in your home!

UPDATE: (10/1 2:55 P.M.) - The recycling center has made the repairs at its facility. Recyclables collected curbside from customers' blue carts will be disposed of at the center.

Due to an issue that has taken the recycling center offline and is preventing us from offloading your recyclables, we are notifying customers of our Wednesday (10/1) and Thursday (10/2) routes about their options for disposal of their recyclables this week.

♻ Recyclables will be collected as usual BUT dumped at the landfill. If you accept this option, place your blue recycle cart at the curb.
♻ If you do not wish to have your recyclables dumped at the landfill, please do not place your blue recycle cart at the curb.
♻ The Met at 302 N. Elm Place is open Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and on Sunday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Please review the materials the facility accepts at https://www.metrecycle.com/broken-arrow.

It is our understanding the recycling center is expected to resume operations before next week. We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your support.
