Cedar House Keepsakes Cedar House Keepsakes is an online shop featuring a collection of personalized keepsakes for disaster victims.

Our items are produced by talented artists and craftspeople from across the country. The shop was founded by Angela, the daughter of a Joplin tornado survivor. While helping her mother pick up the pieces of her life, Angela realized that all disaster survivors need a way to memorialize the things they’ve lost. Believing that preserving precious memories is a crucial part of the healing process, she opened Cedar House Keepsakes to meet this need. This is a hand-painted welcome sign that a customer ordered as a housewarming gift for a Joplin tornado survivor who lost everything in the storm. The recipient just finished rebuilding her house with the help of volunteers and plans to stay there tonight for the first time. She has served several tours in the military, so the American flag is a very important symbol to her. The very next day after the tornado, she even hauled water from her mother's house so she could mix concrete to put up a new flag pole.
